She is a gentle, sensitive person with a deep understanding of people and a very tolerant, accepting, non-judgmental approach towards life. In a noisy, competitive atmosphere Gong Li is often receding and withdrawn for she is not an aggressive, forceful person, and she intensely dislikes conflict. In fact Gong Li tends to be somewhat passive, to wait, watch, observe, feel and know much - but to act little.
