Bruce Lee challenges and difficulties
Lee either overvalues or undervalues his possessions and assets. He can also go to extremes in dealing with bodily needs and desires, being either hedonistic or ascetic. Bruce Lee may deny himself sensual pleasure and enjoyment of the fruits of his labors. He may also be stingy and unable to give freely. Many times Bruce Lee feels that he does not have "enough" to make him feel secure, regardless of how much (money, insurance, etc.) he has!
It may be difficult for Bruce Lee to play spontaneously or just let his hair down, for he tends to inhibit that side of his by being too self-conscious and concerned with the impression he is making.
Bruce may work very hard at some sport or creative medium in order to excel, for he wants very, very much to be noticed, acknowledged, and recognized as special in some way. Though he may indeed be outstanding, Bruce Lee also needs to learn to relax and enjoy himself more.
His aspirations and dreams are always tempered by realism and practical considerations. Bruce Lee pursues his aims in a systematic, disciplined, and thorough manner, and he is willing to takes his time, advancing slowly and steadily on his way towards his goal.
Sometimes Bruce Lee underestimates what is possible, and holds himself back unnecessarily due to a lack of faith or an overly cautious attitude.
His attitude toward life is quite serious and he is very thorough. Bruce has the need to be by himself and think out everything very carefully before he takes action. Bruce Lee may enjoy doing some type of creative art work shaped from hard or heavy materials.
A deep thinker, Bruce Lee has good powers of concentration. But Lee thinks slowly and takes his time making decisions, which is likely to be based on practical and economical methods. Having little to say, Bruce Lee prefers to talk about serious or sad things.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which Bruce Lee instinctively and habitually reverts to when under stress - a mostly subconscious process that he is apt to over indulge in because it is so familiar and hence easy for him. The direction Bruce Lee needs to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.
Instinctively he is a fighter and an individualist who can stand alone when necessary. Very often, however, Bruce stands alone when he does not need to, not realizing the support, assistance, and resources others may have to offer. Bruce Lee has a tendency to "reinvent the wheel" and to feel that he must be self-reliant and that only he can come up with the answers he needs. Implicit in this attitude is a kind of arrogance as well as a rather competitive approach, which - at its worst - can alienate him from others, or make Bruce Lee feel that "it is me against the world".
Social skills and graces and what Bruce Lee calls social "games" do not come naturally to him. Bruce Lee needs to learn how to share and join others, and how to negotiate and resolve conflict with others in a cooperative way.
It is in his public life and career that Bruce Lee is most likely to wrestle with these issues. The latter will impact Lee's reputation and standing in his community or professional circle, as well as how Bruce Lee achieves his important life goals and aspirations.
