Robert Plant motivation
Although he can appear freewheeling, independent, and, at times, inconsistent (as mentioned in the previous chapter), at heart he is very loyal and constant. Robert Plant possesses a certain steadiness and firmness of will that may not be obvious to others until they get to know Robert well.
Proud and intensely individual, Robert Plant really wants to stand out, to be the very best he can be, and to be recognized and appreciated for his unique contributions. Doing something well and being respected for it is extremely important to him, and he cannot tolerate being relegated to the background, taking orders from others, or being "just one of the team". Robert Plant must put his personal stamp on whatever he does, and direct his own course in life. Robert Plant needs to have a place where he can shine, express himself creatively, and be the one in charge.
Robert has big dreams and the determination, spirit, vitality and enthusiasm to realize them. Robert Plant also has a noble, romantic heart, and a love of the dramatic, colorful, and extravagant.
For Robert Plant, it is true that "the entire world's a stage" and he secretly (or perhaps not so secretly) desires to be the star or hero of the play. Robert wants to be great and to receive the love and applause of an adoring audience, even if the "audience" is just one other special person. He needs someone to believe in him and his dreams. Though Plant appears radiantly self-confident and independent, he is actually very dependent on the affirmation, love and recognition of others. He cannot bear going unnoticed or unappreciated.
Robert Plant also loves wholeheartedly and generously and really knows how to make the person he loves feel special. Robert Plant loves the magic of "being in love" and knows how to keep the romance alive in his relationships. He is also immensely loyal and will defend his loved ones and stand by them to the end - as long as they never offend his pride or betray his trust. However, Robert Plant likes to be the strong one in his relationships and he really does not share the leading role very easily. Ideally, Robert needs to find a person who is as strong-willed as he is, but who will not try to dominate or compete with him.
Plant's strengths are his zest and love for life, his creative power and his warm and generous heart. His primary fault is his tendency to be very egocentric, and so concerned with the impression he is making and with his own creative self-expression that he forgets there is another, larger world that does not revolve around him.
World travel, foreign cultures, and studies which expand his intellectual horizons and broaden his understanding of the world are very attractive to Plant.
Robert Plant has a philosophical turn of mind and is concerned with seeking answers to the big questions of life or getting the overview of any situation. Abstract concepts and/or plans for the future occupy his mind much of the time.
Robert Plant has a mature and often somber demeanor. He is serious, reserved, self-disciplined, highly responsible and conscientious. He progresses rather slowly in life, through his own efforts and persistence. He is also rather stern and judgmental, especially with himself. Cautious and careful, it is difficult for him to really let go, be spontaneous and playful. Robert likes to be in control of himself.
Although he takes himself and his responsibilities seriously, there is also a part of Robert Plant that rebels against rules and restrictions and the need to contend with outside authority. Plant can feel torn between conforming to the rules or fulfilling his obligations, and breaking free of them. His wilder side will now be described.
He is an original! Robert Plant radiates a sort of electrical excitement about the things he is interested in, and conveys this to others, but he also gets bored rather quickly. Robert does not mind being a bit unusual or breaking a few rules either.
Robert Plant has a pleasant and dreamy disposition with considerable romantic imagination. Robert has a strong longing for love, but he does not see others very clearly and may experience many disappointments in his emotional relationships.
Robert Plant has a sense of good fellowship and comradeship and is very much at ease in contact with others. Plant works successfully with others in his community, groups or associations and may get some assistance from some very powerful and influential people.
