Jimi Hendrix motivation
Many of the traits described in Chapter 2 are emphasized again below. His enthusiasm and outgoing, forward-looking nature is a gift, but Jimi Hendrix should also be wary of the tendency to overlook details and be oblivious to others' personal feelings.
He is a gambler and an adventurer at heart, one who loves to take risks, to discover and explore new worlds, and to take the untried path rather than the safe, reliable one. He is an independent soul, freedom-loving, and often very restless. He needs a lifestyle that provides opportunities for travel, movement, change, and meeting new people. A steady routine which offers much in the way of security but little in the way of space and freedom is odious to him.
To Jimi Hendrix, life is a journey, an adventure, endlessly interesting and rich with possibilities, and it may be difficult for him to decide where to focus his attention and efforts. Jimi Hendrix probably traveled around and experimented with many different paths before he settled on a particular career. Or he may go from one project to the next, for once the challenge and vital interest is gone, he is very quick to move on. Commitment, discipline, focus, and concentration are not his strong points. Hendrix can be irresponsible and disinclined to take on the burdens and limitations of adult life.
An incurable optimist, he has big dreams, aspirations, and hopes for the future and is usually pursuing some distant goal. Jimi Hendrix has a great deal of faith and trust in life and failures do not crush his spirit. Hendrix always bounces back from disappointments, often with another bright dream or scheme. Jimi Hendrix has a sporting, playful attitude toward life and he is philosophical about his mistakes. Jimi has the ability to sense future trends, to see the big picture, and he likes to theorize and speculate. However, attending to all of the details and practical requirements of implementing his theories is bothersome to him.
Hendrix expresses himself in a very open, direct, and straightforward manner and is often blunt and tactless as well. Because he does not take himself too seriously, he may not realize how deeply his candid statements can wound more sensitive souls. In fact, though he may not realize it, Jimi's insensitivity and lack of understanding regarding others' feelings is probably one of his worst faults.
Jimi Hendrix does enjoy being in close relationships, but he needs freedom also and he does not do well with a possessive, clinging, or emotionally demanding partner. He is quite generous, and heartily dislikes pettiness in others. Someone who shares his ideals, his sense of fun, and his zest for life would be the right companion for Hendrix.
Leading groups and classes, and being involved in community efforts, social activities, events or movements are areas where Jimi Hendrix really shines and expresses his creativity. An awareness of politics or the larger social impact of individual actions is natural to him.
Jimi Hendrix tends to see things from his perspective only and to be rather subjective. He also enjoys talking and expressing his views but he does not always listen as well. Jimi Hendrix has a clear mind, a love of learning and new experiences, and he needs constant mental stimulation and activity.
Jimi Hendrix is loving and well-loved by others, and has a strong need for relationships that offer kindness, friendship, and affection. His artistic and creative powers are also well developed and Jimi does everything in a harmonious, gracious, pleasing manner. Aesthetics are very important to Hendrix, as well as his personal appearance and attractiveness.
While Jimi Hendrix deeply appreciates beauty and has a great desire for love, he is in no way frivolous or indiscriminate in his affections. Hendrix can be very frugal and sparing with both money and emotions.
He may have had a demanding and perfectionist or absent father. In any case, a lack of support and approval, a great deal of responsibility at an early age, and an underlying feeling that he can never quite measure up may hold Hendrix back. While he may meet much adversity and struggle alone through many of his trials in life, this makes Jimi Hendrix tough and determined. However, Hendrix should beware of becoming cynical, too hard on himself, and too demanding and critical of others.
Although he takes himself and his responsibilities seriously, there is also a part of Jimi Hendrix that rebels against rules and restrictions and answering to outside authority. Hendrix can feel torn between conforming or fulfilling his obligations, and breaking free of them. His wilder side will now be described.
If he is following his true nature, his life is apt to be unconventional, unusual, controversial, and full of insecurity and excitement. Jimi Hendrix cannot and will not be forced into some pre-set mold, and Jimi finds it difficult to conform. His offbeat interests and tastes lead Hendrix into ventures that others may consider too "far-out" or experimental. Jimi Hendrix has a very creative, inventive streak.
While he is realistic and conscientious (or overly conscientious), as described above, Jimi Hendrix also has an otherworldly, dreamy, or mystically-inclined side, as described below.
He is very open and receptive to the spiritual, intangible, and subtle realms, and can easily receive or give conscious guidance based on his inner attunement. Jimi Hendrix takes many things for granted, such as the existence of an afterlife or the effects of subtle influences like aromatherapy, spiritual healing, etc. These things seem obvious to Jimi, whereas to many people they are a matter of conjecture or even illusory. Jimi Hendrix may not realize he has spiritual gifts because they come so naturally to him.
Jimi Hendrix has a deep belief in his own power and his ability to survive any change and to emerge victoriously from any difficulty. Jimi has tremendous inner resources and strength. Intense, strong willed, and zealous, he pursues his desires and goals with complete dedication and singleness of purpose, and he may be somewhat compulsive, even fanatical at times. Jimi likes to live intensely and has no respect for people who are weak, who avoid confronting life and their own destiny.
Hendrix always seems to find the right words to verbalize his feelings, especially in regard to love and friendship. Jimi Hendrix also has a keen sense of beauty and he probably appreciates art, music or poetry.
He is a bit impulsive and excitable and wants things done quickly. Jimi Hendrix tends to be very impatient with anyone who is slower or less energetic than he is. Hendrix will fight for what he wants but should guard against mishaps or accidents.
Hendrix tends to be in a constant state of tension and seems to look for avenues to test his strength. Jimi Hendrix uses all the energy at his disposal in order to succeed. Somewhat rebellious and inflexible, Jimi fights any opposition or resistance he meets.
