George Sand drive and ambition
Once George Sand sets her mind on a goal, her dedication, determination, and commitment are extraordinary. Sand pursues her ambitions tenaciously and will stubbornly refuse to give up, let go, or be influenced in any way. Like Aesop's tortoise, George labors patiently and steadfastly until she achieves what she wants - or until it is clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that all is lost. She is a reliable, consistent and productive worker, and she often shoulders more of the workload than her co-workers, usually without complaint. She often ends up with the nitty-gritty work. She prefers a regular routine, with definite hours and clearly defined responsibilities and tasks. In fact, establishing a pattern or routine is very important to her success because once she gets started in a certain direction, it is easy for George Sand to kept to that path. Getting started is more difficult. George Sand has a lazy, comfort-loving side and there is often a good deal of inertia for her to overcome before Sand gets going; but once she gets a momentum going, her energy level is strong and steady.
She is interested in concrete results and solid, practical achievements. George Sand needs to have some tangible product or contribution to show for her efforts, and cannot be content with only intangible rewards (such as having a good time, learning, or spiritual enrichment). Material well-being and security is also a large factor in determining what she does. George's stamina and persistence are her greatest assets, but they can also work against her; she can get caught in a rut and refuse to seize new opportunities. George Sand also tends to play it safe, and to limit herself as a result.
George Sand often buys things on impulse and she can be reckless with her material resources and money. George has certain possessions that she is extremely attached to and possessive of.
George Sand has the gift of endurance and perseverance, as well as the willingness to work hard to achieve her objectives. Once she decides she wants something or makes a commitment, George Sand will do it "even if it takes forever". Self-discipline comes naturally to George and she instinctively realizes that any creative achievement is "10% inspiration, 90% perspiration". Sand chooses practical, realistic goals and pursues them step-by-step in a well-planned, orderly fashion. George Sand likes to concentrate on one thing at a time and she does a thorough job. She enjoys working in solitude, and often feels she does her best work when she is alone.
Unless she has a goal that transcends merely personal gain, George Sand is apt to become deeply discontented, aimless and uncertain of her direction in life. At her best, George Sand will work or fight for a greater cause, and feel fulfilled through serving the greater good. However, should she lack the necessary focus, Sand could be confused and easily persuaded to do things that are either unethical or simply ineffectual.
George has the ability to verbalize her feelings and perceptions well. Her judgment is keen and sharp, she is diplomatic and can express herself in good language. George Sand initiates conversations with people and is never at a loss for appropriate remarks.
She is able to see her objectives in life very clearly and wants to create her own good fortune. Quite energetic, George Sand may want to express herself creatively. Inviting good cooperation with others, she is likely to achieve much popularity.
Her ambition and/or role in life involve communication, message-carrying, writing or speaking, languages, or being an intermediary. Sometimes George Sand is apt to feels that she has to work harder than others to get the word out or receive public recognition. "Work smarter, not harder" should be her motto.
In many ways George's rise in the world is an easy one, aided by her personal charm and attractiveness, her ability to please people, and her excellent social instincts. Artistic ambitions are also an aspect of this.
Sand knows how to discipline herself and faces difficulties with great courage. It may take time, energy and dedication for George Sand to achieve her goals; and when she meets defeat, George rises above it and continues on her way.
