George Sand challenges and difficulties
George Sand has a penchant for order and precision, and an almost compulsive attention to detail. She is often hypercritical and can be such a demanding perfectionist that she discourages herself or others from even attempting something that will not be done exactly the way Sand knows it should be done.
She frequently over analyze or pick things apart mentally. George Sand may be something of a hypochondriac also. George must learn that she does not have to rationally understand everything in order for it to be valid, and also to relax her unnecessarily high or strict standards.
George Sand takes her commitments to others very seriously, especially in close one-to-one relationships. Her strong sense of responsibility to the other person makes Sand a trustworthy and dedicated partner, but she often feels that marriage or any binding commitment between her and another person is too restrictive and burdensome, and thus seeks to avoid it. Close relationships may be more work than pleasure for George Sand and it may seem that she is always "working on" her marriage rather than enjoying it. However, Sand will persevere and ultimately grow through the process.
Her outlook on life is inclined to be somewhat negative and George Sand tries to avoid relationships and social interaction as much as possible. There is a morose side to George's nature that makes her feel that no one cares about her, that life is difficult and perhaps not even worthwhile.
Quite reserved and somewhat inhibited in her relationships with others, George Sand may feel that she is better off by herself. George feels that she does not fit in very well with people and she finds team-work in groups or associations difficult to achieve.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which George Sand instinctively and habitually reverts to when under stress - a mostly subconscious process that she is apt to over indulge in because it is so familiar and hence easy for her. The direction George Sand needs to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.
George Sand's path lies in cultivating idealism and humanitarian feelings, being concerned with how Sand's actions impact the world at large, perhaps becoming more aware of the social implications of Sand's life style and personal choices or becoming active politically. Participating in organizations that support Sand's ideals is one way to do this.
When under stress she is likely to become overly focused on herself and her own little world.
Instead of "how will this benefit or hurt me?" Sand's focus needs to shift to "how will this affect us all?".
Ideally, George Sand needs to strike a balance between doing for herself and doing for others, by discovering how Sand's unique gifts can benefit others.
It is deep within herself, as George Sand faces her own demons, fears, and struggles - those aspects of life that are not easily or readily shared, those parts of her life that George Sand keeps hidden from public view where she is most likely to wrestle with these issues.
The qualities described above can also be beneficially channeled into some sort of charitable work, altruistic service or ministering to people in need.
