Ezra Pound challenges and difficulties
Pound fears of becoming emotionally dependent upon others, and may distance himself or deny his needs for relationships of closeness and intimacy so that he will not be vulnerable to rejection or abandonment. On the other hand, Ezra Pound may cling excessively or need constant reassurance from loved ones and family. Developing a deep, inner sense of security, as well as the ability to give and receive nurturing are important tasks for Ezra.
His childhood or his relationships with his parents was restrictive, unloving, or unhappy in ways that may prevent Ezra from allowing other people to get close to him in later life. Ezra Pound felt deprived in some manner, whether or not he actually was deprived in some way. Emotional separations or repression of his needs and feelings may typify his early life, at least as Pound remembers it. Forgiving his parents and/or letting go of any resentments he has about the limitations that he experienced early in his life is crucial. Also, Ezra Pound needs to build his own solid foundation, and investing time and energy into his home, domestic relationships, and inner life can help Ezra accomplish this.
Ezra Pound becomes tense and upset rather easily. He becomes irritated by the unwillingness of others to make changes. In his eagerness to see his inspirations materialize, Pound is inclined to forego tact and diplomacy in favor of achieving his goals. His occasional outbreaks of brusque, insensitive behavior often do more harm than good.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which Ezra Pound instinctively and habitually reverts to when under stress - a mostly subconscious process that he is apt to over indulge in because it is so familiar and hence easy for him. The direction Ezra Pound needs to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.
His natural instinct, especially when under stress, is to passively go along with whatever is easiest, refrain from clearly analyzing or assessing his situation and perhaps even try to escape from seeing his situation clearly by indulging in fantasies, intoxicants, and the like. Dreaminess and impracticality, being unfocused and undefined (at least in certain areas) are ways Ezra Pound copes with stress. Ezra Pound also has trouble setting limits and saying no.
His development path lies in cultivating discrimination and clarity, becoming more precise, and developing technical and practical skills that will enable Ezra Pound to function more efficiently in the world. Finding a way to be of practical service is also important.
It is in his work and his relationships with co-workers, employers, and employees that he is most likely to wrestle with these issues. Integrating the qualities described above into Pound's work and daily routine will lead to greater satisfaction, improved health, and personal growth.
The following are specific activities that will support Ezra Pound in his growth. These may or may not feel natural to Pound, and he may initially resist or feel awkward about them, but they are crucial to his path to wholeness.
Ezra Pound should develop faith and confidence both in himself and in a higher power that can guide, nourish, and help him. He needs to expand his willingness to dream and envision better things in life by studying religion, philosophy and other subjects that enable him to acquire a larger, more inclusive view of the world.
Being generous with his time, energy and resources in helping others achieve a better life will in turn benefit Ezra Pound.
Ezra has an inspiring, trustworthy and courteous manner, bringing lots of friends and acquaintances with similar interests into his life. His parental home is probably very harmonious and Ezra Pound feels strongly connected with his family.
