Wilbur Wright drive and ambition
Wilbur Wright avoids direct confrontation as much as possible and is uncomfortable with aggressiveness, competition and personal power. His ego drive is not very dominant and Wright is not especially ambitious or eager to push his way to the top. He may feel inadequate in situations that call for strong, forceful action. The only instance in which Wilbur Wright will really fight is when he senses that his loved ones - or something dear to him- are being jeopardized, in which case he is a fierce defender. Wilbur Wright has a very strong protective side. He acts on impulse and instinct and may lash out at anyone he perceives as threatening to Wilbur's home or family. However, Wilbur Wright will rarely initiate a confrontation. His goals also tend to be very personal and centered on family closeness and inner satisfaction rather than worldly achievement.
He is sensitive to stress and does not handle a high-pressured, competitive atmosphere very well. Wilbur Wright is very touchy, irritable and difficult to live with when there are many demands or stressful situations at work. His energy level varies and is very dependent on the emotional harmony (or lack thereof) in his home. A supportive partner is very instrumental in helping Wright to achieve his goals and desires.
Asserting himself and being direct and forceful about what he wants is very often difficult for Wilbur. Though he may have a great deal of energy and drive, Wilbur Wright lacks confidence or simply the desire to put himself and his interests first. Positively, Wright can be very unselfish, working more on behalf of others rather than for himself.
However, Wilbur Wright denies his own desires and needs too much, and he is likely to secretly become very angry, which will sabotage his finest efforts.
Wilbur Wright has the gift of endurance and perseverance, as well as the willingness to work hard to achieve his objectives. Once he decides he wants something or makes a commitment, Wilbur Wright will do it "even if it takes forever". Self-discipline comes naturally to Wilbur and he instinctively realizes that any creative achievement is "10% inspiration, 90% perspiration". Wright chooses practical, realistic goals and pursues them step-by-step in a well-planned, orderly fashion. Wilbur Wright likes to concentrate on one thing at a time and he does a thorough job. He enjoys working in solitude, and often feels he does his best work when he is alone.
He may find it difficult to communicate with others and has a tendency to quarrel. It is hard for Wilbur Wright to express himself and his ideas and opinions may often be challenged by others. Because of frequent disagreements, Wilbur is likely to feel that his relationships are incompatible.
Positions of honor, affluence, influence, and stature in his community can be his. Wilbur Wright feels he has a destiny which involves leadership or distinguishing himself in some line of endeavor. Wilbur possesses an innate sense of greatness or importance, and a strong drive to achieve recognition for his talent. Wilbur Wright should avoid excessive egotism and arrogant pride, for these could limit his opportunities.
Wright is intensely competitive, and may engage in furious battles of will, numerous conflicts, and possible public controversy, on his way to gaining his objectives. Wilbur Wright could be drawn to activities that are dangerous, in the line of fire, so to speak. He puts himself on the line. Anger or recklessness could be his downfall.
His self-control is well developed and Wilbur Wright is patient, cautious and responsible. Wright knows that success comes with hard work and is willing to do his share. Wilbur likes to be by himself and to do his own thing, but at times he may also feel lonely and deserted.
