Sharon has two conflicting interests that she tries to resolve. As described in the previous chapter, she loves to nurture and support others, and family relationships are very important to Tate. However, there is another side to Sharon Tate: at heart she is a very independent person and she needs to participate in community endeavors and be involved with the world at large. Having a meaningful career and being involved in a larger circle of friends and associates is important to her as well. There are many ways to satisfy both of these sides. She may become an advocate for family needs or women's and children's issues in the workplace and in society as a whole. Or she may simply lend a personal, supportive, human touch to the impersonal atmosphere of business or academia. One negative possibility, however, is that she is may become very dogmatic about her own personal concerns and biases, not realizing how many of her social, political and even scientific views are rooted in personal experience rather than objective criteria.

She is imaginative and sensitive to anything colorful, beautiful or magical. She is attracted to artistic and creative pursuits, music and mysticism. Her spiritual values color Sharon's whole perspective and approach to life. She is idealistic and perhaps impractical.

She is infused with a sense of personal destiny or mission and can be extremely driven, obsessed and fanatical. Learning about power and how to use it effectively is definitely on her agenda. Sharon Tate confronts abusive power, tyranny and dominating people who will teach her about power and eventually force Tate to claim her own.

Tate seems to lack self-confidence and has a sense of anxiety and insecurity that has no obvious cause. Sharon Tate tends to withdraw and her outlook in general could be a bit too negative. Sharon Tate should beware of letting her emotional tension react to her physical well-being.
