Sharon Tate motivation
Sharon has two conflicting interests that she tries to resolve. As described in the previous chapter, she loves to nurture and support others, and family relationships are very important to Tate. However, there is another side to Sharon Tate: at heart she is a very independent person and she needs to participate in community endeavors and be involved with the world at large. Having a meaningful career and being involved in a larger circle of friends and associates is important to her as well. There are many ways to satisfy both of these sides. She may become an advocate for family needs or women's and children's issues in the workplace and in society as a whole. Or she may simply lend a personal, supportive, human touch to the impersonal atmosphere of business or academia. One negative possibility, however, is that she is may become very dogmatic about her own personal concerns and biases, not realizing how many of her social, political and even scientific views are rooted in personal experience rather than objective criteria.
She is a freedom-loving, strong-willed and independent-minded individual, and she insists upon living her own life as she sees fit, even if it means ignoring convention and tradition. In personal relationships, Sharon Tate cannot be owned or possessed, and while she is willing to share herself with another, she does not always adjust easily to the emotional give and take of close relationships. Though intellectually open, Tate can be enormously stubborn, opinionated and inflexible on a one-to-one level. Sharon has strong convictions and feelings about fairness and equality, and she tries to abide by them; however, her ideals about how people "should" treat one another do not always take into account human weaknesses, differences and needs. Sharon Tate probably dislikes sentimentality and traditional gender roles and "games".
She is fair, intelligent, objective and rational and she often let her head rule rather than her heart. Sharon Tate seems rather self-sufficient and emotionally detached because she is capable of putting aside her personal feelings and viewing things dispassionately. But once Sharon makes up her mind on an issue, it is difficult to dissuade her, and she can be rather dogmatic.
Sharon Tate thinks in broad terms and is concerned with the world beyond her own personal sphere - her town, nation, or even planet. She is likely to become involved in, or show a keen interest in, community endeavors, social organizations and groups of all kinds. She enjoys being part of a group endeavor, and she often assumes the role of organizing, managing or supervising group activities.
Forward-looking and progressive, she harbors great hopes for the future. Sharon Tate stays current and up to date, and responds to contemporary cultural trends, both in terms of personal style and ideas. When young, Sharon Tate was very influenced by peer pressure and by all the "latest crazes". Sharon has an experimental mind and is attracted to novelty.
Her strong points include her concern for human welfare and social betterment, her sense of fairness and democratic spirit, and her vision. Her faults are her stubbornness and inflexibility, and a tendency to be very obtuse and insensitive when it comes to personal feelings and human needs.
Sharon Tate invests a tremendous amount of her creative energy into her relationships with others, particularly her marriage or other close partnerships. Sharon feels that she needs others in order to be all that she can be, and she is disinclined to solitary activities and endeavors.
Working with people on a one-to-one basis to bring about mutual understanding, harmony, and satisfaction is an area in which Sharon Tate can really excel. Counseling or negotiating are talents of hers.
Sharon Tate tends to see things from her perspective only and to be rather subjective. She also enjoys talking and expressing her views but does not always listen as well. Sharon Tate has a clear mind, a love of learning and new experiences, and she needs constant mental stimulation and activity.
Realistic and practical, Sharon Tate sets goals for herself that are modest enough for her to actually achieve. She is able to tackle long, difficult projects and see them through, for Tate possesses self-discipline, concentration and perseverance. Sharon Tate also has a strong sense of responsibility and is very conscientious about fulfilling her obligations. Tate often does things because she feels it is expected of her.
Although she takes herself and her responsibilities seriously, there is also a part of Sharon Tate that rebels against rules and restrictions and the need to contend with outside authority. Tate can feel torn between conforming to the rules or fulfilling her obligations, and breaking free of them. Her wilder side will now be described.
The unusual and unorthodox appeal to Tate, and she does not allow tradition, convention or other people's expectations to dictate how she is going to live her life. Sharon Tate craves freedom, adventure, excitement and discovery, and is not afraid of change. Sharon Tate possesses inventive and creative genius.
While she is realistic and conscientious (or overly conscientious), as described above, Sharon Tate also has an otherworldly, dreamy, or mystically-inclined side, as described below.
She is imaginative and sensitive to anything colorful, beautiful or magical. She is attracted to artistic and creative pursuits, music and mysticism. Her spiritual values color Sharon's whole perspective and approach to life. She is idealistic and perhaps impractical.
She is infused with a sense of personal destiny or mission and can be extremely driven, obsessed and fanatical. Learning about power and how to use it effectively is definitely on her agenda. Sharon Tate confronts abusive power, tyranny and dominating people who will teach her about power and eventually force Tate to claim her own.
Tate seems to lack self-confidence and has a sense of anxiety and insecurity that has no obvious cause. Sharon Tate tends to withdraw and her outlook in general could be a bit too negative. Sharon Tate should beware of letting her emotional tension react to her physical well-being.
