Though Raimi may seem breezy, independent and freedom loving (as mentioned in the previous chapter), he is in fact not completely happy without a partner. He enjoys being on the move and exploring new territory, but wants a traveling companion! Raimi yearns for fulfilling, yet non-restricting relationships.
Harmony and balance are his keynotes. Sam Raimi instinctively understands the need to accommodate other people's interests and desires, and he is always fair and willing to meet others half way. Tactful, diplomatic, and quite socially aware, Sam does all he can to avoid conflict and discord. It could be hard for Sam Raimi to face up to his mistakes because of his insecurity and self-doubt. His early years may have been undermined by poor relationships with one or both of his parents who may have been ill, weak or alcoholic.
