In addition to having an independent spirit, as described in the previous chapter, Mother Meera is also objective, pragmatic and quite ambitious. She is likely to work her way to the top of the ladder in some corporation, academic community or the like through her astute strategies combined with her willingness to take risks. Mother Meera aims to be the authority, the one in charge. At times her impulsiveness may be at odds with her conservative, responsible side (which is discussed below). Giving herself (and others) permission to feel, play, be spontaneous and silly, and sometimes weak and vulnerable is not easy for Kamala Reddy.

Kamala Reddy's strong points are her depth and thoroughness, patience, tenacity and faithfulness. Her faults are a tendency to be rigid and inflexible, and too serious.

Her career, reputation, and public image are very important to Kamala Reddy. Mother Meera has a strong desire to be influential or make her mark on the world. The merely personal sphere does not satisfy her; her ambitions include making a major contribution and receiving broad recognition for her unique effort and gifts. Mother Meera may undervalue the personal or inner side of life.

Mother Meera tends to see things from her perspective only and to be rather subjective. She also enjoys talking and expressing her views but does not always listen as well. Mother Meera deeply believes in her own power and her ability to survive any change and emerge victorious from any difficulty. Mother Meera has tremendous inner resources and strength. Intense, strong willed, and zealous, she pursues her desires and goals with complete dedication and singleness of purpose, and she may be somewhat compulsive and even fanatical at times. Mother Meera likes to live intensely and has no respect for people who are weak or avoid confronting life and their own destiny.

Mother Meera probably has great intellectual ability and curiosity. Mother Meera never seem to run out of ideas and always welcomes the study of new subjects, the more abstract the better. But she also has the basic sense to translate abstract ideas into practical reality.
