Madonna challenges and difficulties
Madonna has a critical, cynical attitude towards many religions and philosophies. Without realizing it, she prevents herself from appreciating new viewpoints and attitudes. Veronica Ciccone is more rigid and dogmatic than she realizes. Her approach may also be too intellectual or moralistic. Madonna takes her own political beliefs and spiritual philosophy very seriously, worrying and fretting if she is not 100% clear about some ideology or theory.
Her childhood or her relationships with her parents was restrictive, unloving, or unhappy in ways that may prevent Madonna from allowing other people to get close to her in later life. Madonna felt deprived in some manner, whether or not she actually was deprived in some way. Emotional separations or repression of her needs and feelings may typify her early life, at least as Veronica Ciccone remembers it. Forgiving her parents and/or letting go of any resentments she has about the limitations that she experienced early in her life is crucial. Also, Madonna needs to build her own solid foundation, and investing time and energy into her home, domestic relationships, and inner life can help Madonna accomplish this.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which Madonna instinctively and habitually reverts to when under stress - a mostly subconscious process that she is apt to over indulge in because it is so familiar and hence easy for her. The direction Madonna needs to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.
Instinctively she is a fighter and an individualist who can stand alone when necessary. Very often, however, Madonna stands alone when she does not need to, not realizing the support, assistance, and resources others may have to offer. Madonna has a tendency to "reinvent the wheel" and to feel that she must be self-reliant and that only she can come up with the answers she needs. Implicit in this attitude is a kind of arrogance as well as a rather competitive approach, which - at its worst - can alienate her from others, or make Madonna feel that "it is me against the world".
Social skills and graces and what Madonna calls social "games" do not come naturally to her. Madonna needs to learn how to share and join others, and how to negotiate and resolve conflict with others in a cooperative way.
It is in her dealings with money, financial security, tangible assets and possessions that she is most likely to wrestle with these issues. The qualities described above are ones Madonna needs to integrate in tangible ways: how she makes a living, building assets and a secure material base, what she does with the resources she has. Madonna should try to avoid over involvement or entanglements with other people's money matters, legal business, and personal affairs.
The following are specific activities that will support Madonna in her growth. These may or may not feel natural to Veronica Ciccone, and she may initially resist or feel awkward about them, but they are crucial to her path to wholeness.
Madonna should develop faith and confidence both in herself and in a higher power that can guide, nourish, and help her. She needs to expand her willingness to dream and envision better things in life by studying religion, philosophy and other subjects that enable her to acquire a larger, more inclusive view of the world.
Being generous with her time, energy and resources in helping others achieve a better life will in turn benefit Madonna.
Because of some other people and circumstances around her, at times Madonna may find it difficult to follow her ambitions. It could be to Madonna's advantage to sever her relationships with those controlling or trying to abuse her.
