MC Hammer challenges and difficulties
Stanley Burrell has an innate distrust of groups and/or a cynical attitude toward society that may leave him feeling out of step and unable to participate in activities with his peers. Overcoming a sense of aloofness and alienation from others is an important task for MC Hammer.
MC Hammer takes his commitments to others very seriously, especially in close one-to-one relationships. His strong sense of responsibility to the other person makes MC Hammer a trustworthy and dedicated partner, but he often feels that marriage or any binding commitment between him and another person is too restrictive and burdensome, and thus seeks to avoid it. Close relationships may be more work than pleasure for MC Hammer and it may seem that he is always "working on" his marriage rather than enjoying it. However, MC Hammer will persevere and ultimately grow through the process.
MC Hammer strives and struggles a great deal with his ideals or spiritual aspirations. He may go through periods of self-denial, asceticism, and in-depth study of religious philosophy and spiritual practices, or he may lose heart and become cynical about religious ideals; however, he can never quite divorce himself from his idealistic concerns.
MC Hammer tends to be his own worst enemy, demanding inhuman perfection of himself and harshly criticizing or persecuting himself when he does not measure up. Perhaps circumstances or relationships in his life have been extremely difficult and demanding, reinforcing Stanley Burrell's belief that he must struggle alone.
He is capable of tremendous effort and of overcoming great odds and handicaps. Through these efforts MC Hammer develops his power and inner strength. However, MC Hammer should not make life harder than it is. He must give himself permission to let up sometimes, and to realize that he is only human.
He may feel hindered or oppressed by other people frequently and overcoming difficulties jointly with others could come suddenly. MC Hammer seems to be afraid of his own courage and may find it hard to express his desires.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which MC Hammer instinctively and habitually reverts to when under stress - a mostly subconscious process that he is apt to over indulge in because it is so familiar and hence easy for him. The direction MC Hammer needs to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.
MC Hammer's path lies in his development as an individual, the discovery of his own strengths and joys, the capacity to express his uniqueness and to stand out in a crowd. This involves becoming a leader, even though MC Hammer's instinct is actually to be "one of the Indians" rather than the "chief". When under stress MC Hammer is apt to seek safety in numbers, to go along with the group. Also, he may believe that striving to do his personal best and to excel is wrong or selfish, but Stanley Burrell should let go of this notion. Finding his own center and doing what gives him delight and energy is the most worthwhile contribution MC Hammer can offer the world at large.
It is in his dealings with money, financial security, tangible assets and possessions that he is most likely to wrestle with these issues. The qualities described above are ones MC Hammer needs to integrate in tangible ways: how he makes a living, building assets and a secure material base, what he does with the resources he has. MC Hammer should try to avoid over involvement or entanglements with other people's money matters, legal business, and personal affairs.
He is very social and his relationships with others are very warm and expansive. It is essential for Stanley Burrell's emotional welfare to be surrounded by people and he is an active member of groups or associations he belongs to.
