M. Night Shyamalan
challenges and difficulties
Shyamalan either overvalues or undervalues his possessions and assets. He can also go to extremes in dealing with bodily needs and desires, being either hedonistic or ascetic. M. Night Shyamalan may deny himself sensual pleasure and enjoyment of the fruits of his labors. He may also be stingy and unable to give freely. Many times M. Night Shyamalan feels that he does not have "enough" to make him feel secure, regardless of how much (money, insurance, etc.) he has!
M. Night Shyamalan takes his commitments to others very seriously, especially in close one-to-one relationships. His strong sense of responsibility to the other person makes Shyamalan a trustworthy and dedicated partner, but he often feels that marriage or any binding commitment between him and another person is too restrictive and burdensome, and thus seeks to avoid it. Close relationships may be more work than pleasure for M. Night Shyamalan and it may seem that he is always "working on" his marriage rather than enjoying it. However, Shyamalan will persevere and ultimately grow through the process.
Because of his inner reserve and basic shyness, M. Night Shyamalan appears to lack the ability to adapt and is a bit inhibited when dealing with other people. His approach is somewhat serious and it is difficult for M. Shyamalan to face the public.
Quite reserved and somewhat inhibited in his relationships with others, M. Night Shyamalan may feel that he is better off by himself. M. Shyamalan feels that he does not fit in very well with people and he finds teamwork difficult.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which M. Night Shyamalan instinctively and habitually reverts to when under stress - a mostly subconscious process that he is apt to over indulge in because it is so familiar and hence easy for him. The direction M. Night Shyamalan needs to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.
Cultivating the qualities of empathy, gentleness, and compassion will help counterbalance Shyamalan's deeply ingrained perfectionism and critical nature. When under stress, he is apt to try to rigorously analyze and focus on what needs to be corrected or improved, and he can easily become problem-oriented and lose sight of the big picture.
M. Night Shyamalan has to learn to relax and surrender to the flow of events without having to figure everything out all the time. He should let his feelings and intuitions flow more freely, be more flexible and fluid, use his imagination and let his dreams emerge!
It is in trying to strike a balance between Shyamalan's inner, personal life and his career or involvement with the world at large that he is most likely to wrestle with these issues. M. Night Shyamalan needs to focus attention on his home and family situation, and create a secure inner anchor.
M. Night Shyamalan has a very affectionate attitude toward others and the capacity to love a lot of people. There probably is a very deep bond between M. Shyamalan and his friends, and when he falls in love, M. Night Shyamalan is likely to love just as deeply.
M. Night Shyamalan has a strong desire to break records and set an example for others through his own achievements. M. Shyamalan tends to spur others on to improve results and his relationships with others serve to better conditions.
