Although Loris Stecca enjoys conversing and interacting with people (as mentioned in the previous chapter), he also has a self-reliant, independent spirit. Stecca can go it alone if need be because Loris Stecca likes to be a free agent. He likes to exchange ideas, but as stated below, he does not always listen.

He is a person who thrives on challenge, and he often feels that he must battle his way through life, relying on no one and nothing but his own strength, intelligence and courage. Loris Stecca believes in being totally honest, true to himself and his own vision and convictions, even if it means standing alone. Honesty, integrity, personal honor and authenticity are Stecca's gods, and he has no sympathy for weakness of character in others.

Loris Stecca craves the freedom to do things in his own way, and he works very well independently. Cooperating with others or carrying out another's will is not his style. Loris likes to be the chief - or to go it alone.

Loris Stecca loves action and if others are settling down into a nice, comfortable little rut, then he is always ready to stir things up, do something new, make changes and introduce some fresh blood. Routine and sameness are tantamount to death for him. He is not afraid of trying something that has never been done before, and even though he may sometimes be perceived as a fool, Loris Stecca also discovers, invents and initiates things that others will later emulate. Taking risks and following his own star are the breath of life for Stecca, and he wilts (or gets very frustrated and angry) if he cannot do this.

Leading groups and classes and being involved in community efforts, social activities, events or movements are areas where Loris Stecca really shines and expresses his creativity. An awareness of politics or the larger social impact of individual actions comes naturally to him.

Loris Stecca tends to be very impressionable and psychically open, and as a youngster, he may have been dominated in relationships with more forceful personalities. Afraid of confrontation, Stecca may have become passive, identified himself as a helpless victim, or tried to achieve his desires in underhanded ways.
