Though Lauryn Hill cares very much about her dignity and the way she is perceived by others (as described on the previous page), she has a very mischievous, playful side that pokes fun of anyone who takes herself too seriously (including herself!). Also, though her great loyalty was highlighted in the previous chapter, fortunately she is also flexible and playful, so she does not allow her commitments to become too burdensome.

Lauryn Hill is, in many ways, an eternal child. Her mind is bright, alert, curious, flexible, playful and always eager for new experiences - and her attention span is often quite brief. Hill grasps ideas quickly and once her initial curiosity has been satisfied, she is ready to move on. Lauryn Hill craves frequent change and variety, as well as new situations and people.

It may be hard for Lauryn Hill to decide just where her talents and true vocation lie, for she has a multitude of interests and is loathe limiting herself by concentrating on just one.
