Konkona Sen Sharma's fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized by the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique balance of these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth (practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and feelings).

Konkona Sen cannot imagine being happy in a world without books, films or interesting relationships.

There is an androgynous quality to Konkona, and she relates equally well to men and women, having both male and female characteristics in nearly equal measure within herself. Konkona Sen Sharma tends to see someone as a person first, rather than as a woman or a man.

Friendship is very important to her sense of well-being. Konkona Sen Sharma thrives on camaraderie, teamwork, social endeavor and sharing. However, she is also quite objective about them and there is often an impersonal touch to her relationships with others.
