Jon Stewart motivation
Jon Stewart's appearance and the way he comes across to others (as described on the previous page) are very congruent with his true nature (described below). He is very idealistic, and a great lover of space and freedom.
He is a gambler and an adventurer at heart, one who loves to take risks, to discover and explore new worlds, and to travel the untried path rather than the safe, reliable one. He is independent, freedom loving, and often very restless. He needs a lifestyle that provides opportunities for travel, movement, change, and meeting new people. A steady routine, which offers much in the way of security but little in the way of space and freedom, is odious to him.
To Jon Stewart, life is a journey and an adventure that is endlessly interesting and rich with possibilities, and it may be difficult for him to decide where to focus his attention and efforts. Jon Stewart probably traveled around and experimented with many different paths before he settled on a particular career. Or he may go from one project to the next, for once the challenge and vital interest is gone, he is very quick to move on. Commitment, discipline, focus and concentration are not his strong points. Stewart can be irresponsible and disinclined to take on the burdens and limitations of adult life.
An incurable optimist, he has big dreams, aspirations and hopes for the future and is usually engaged in pursuing a far-off goal. Jon Stewart has a great deal of faith and trust in life and failures do not crush his spirit. Stewart always bounces back from disappointments, often with another bright dream or scheme. Jon Stewart has a sporting, playful attitude toward life and he is philosophical about his mistakes. Jon has the ability to sense future trends, to see the big picture, and he likes to theorize and speculate. However, he gets annoyed with all the details and practical requirements required to implement his theories.
Stewart expresses himself in a very open, direct and straightforward manner and is often blunt and tactless as well. Because he does not take himself too seriously, he may not realize how deeply his candid statements can wound more sensitive souls. In fact, though he may not realize it, Jon's insensitivity and lack of understanding regarding others' feelings is probably one of his worst faults.
Jon Stewart enjoys being in close relationships but also needs freedom and he does not do well with a possessive, clinging, or emotionally demanding partner. He is quite generous, and heartily dislikes pettiness in others. Someone who shares his ideals, his sense of fun and his zest for life would be the right companion for Stewart.
World travel, foreign cultures, and studies which expand his intellectual horizons and broaden his understanding of the world are very attractive to Stewart.
Jon Stewart has a philosophical turn of mind and is concerned with seeking answers to the big questions of life or getting the overview of any situation. Abstract concepts and/or plans for the future occupy his mind much of the time.
Jon Stewart tends to see things from his perspective only and to be rather subjective. He also enjoys talking and expressing his views but does not always listen as well. Jon Stewart has a clear mind, a love of learning and new experiences, and he needs constant mental stimulation and activity.
Jon has big aspirations and the desire to succeed in life in a grand way. Jon Stewart tends to exaggerate, promise more than is feasible and misjudge by being overly optimistic. However, he never gives up on his hopes for the future. Stewart tends to be restless and discontent with the responsibilities and limitations of life.
However he also has a more somber side, which keeps Stewart's optimism from becoming ungrounded or overblown. Jon Stewart tends to seesaw between his faith, vision and high aspirations, and his caution and realism (or fear!). He cannot and does not rely on good luck or grace alone, and he accepts the need for hard work. His skeptical or "somber" side is described below.
Jon Stewart has a healthy amount of self-control and self-discipline. Stewart also radiates a rather responsible, trustworthy, solid feeling about himself which will win him the confidence of others, especially his superiors.
Although he takes himself and his responsibilities seriously, there is also a part of Jon Stewart that rebels against rules and restrictions and the need to contend with outside authority. Stewart can feel torn between conforming to the rules or fulfilling his obligations, and breaking free of them. His wilder side will now be described.
Impulsive, restless and spontaneous, his life is apt to be somewhat unstable and full of sudden changes. Jon Stewart is extremely independent and craves excitement, adventure, freedom and discovery. Stewart has a rebellious streak and he often feels he is unusual and different from society's mainstream. The unorthodox and the novel appeal to him.
His comprehension is exceptional and Jon Stewart reacts to everything very quickly. Stewart shows deep respect for knowledge and feels that he must learn everything there is to know. Studying probably was encouraged early on and Jon Stewart was raised to be successful.
