John Agar challenges and difficulties
John Agar has a penchant for order and precision, and an almost compulsive attention to detail. He is often hypercritical and can be such a demanding perfectionist that he discourages himself or others from even attempting something that will not be done exactly the way Agar knows it should be done.
He frequently over analyze or pick things apart mentally. John Agar may be something of a hypochondriac also. John must learn that he does not have to rationally understand everything in order for it to be valid, and also to relax his unnecessarily high or strict standards.
John Agar has a mature, disciplined, serious attitude toward life which colors everything he does. Caution and realism are his virtues though John limits himself at times by being too careful, shy, or fearful, and not believing in himself enough or being assertive when necessary. Others find John Agar difficult to get to know intimately, as Agar tends to distance himself from them or to put forth a rather stern, "adult" face to the world.
His aspirations and dreams are always tempered by realism and practical considerations. John Agar pursues his aims in a systematic, disciplined, and thorough manner, and he is willing to takes his time, advancing slowly and steadily on his way towards his goal.
Sometimes John Agar underestimates what is possible, and holds himself back unnecessarily due to a lack of faith or an overly cautious attitude.
Agar may find it difficult to relate to people and express his feelings, especially in love relationships. On one hand, John Agar wants relationships and on the other he would rather be by himself. A sense of personal inadequacy makes John withdraw from others and feeling lonely as a result.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which John Agar instinctively and habitually reverts to when under stress - a mostly subconscious process that he is apt to over indulge in because it is so familiar and hence easy for him. The direction John Agar needs to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.
He is capable of withstanding outside influences and remaining constant and steady on his path, but when under stress John Agar becomes downright obstinate and implacable, resisting any change no matter how necessary or desirable the change may be. Tenaciously trying to preserve the status quo and hold on to what he has, he is apt to ignore the subtle signals he receives about needing to do something differently, which often leads to a crisis.
John Agar needs to learn the limits of his ability to control life, and to accept and even embrace change and loss of the familiar, in order to allow for new life and growth. "Letting go" is a major life lesson for him. Agar also needs to develop a balanced attitude toward his appetites and desires, as John Agar tends to overindulge and/or deny himself excessively.
It is in his way of thinking, processing information and communicating that John Agar is most likely to wrestle with these issues. In Agar's relationships with neighbors, colleagues, and acquaintances, he needs to try to bring out the qualities described above.
Agar considers the ability to think and speak convincingly as the most powerful instrument one can possess. He always strives for intellectual control in his environment and tends to dominate his relationships. John Agar has a strong desire to be the spokesman in his community.
John Agar has a very affectionate attitude toward others and the capacity to love a lot of people. There probably is a very deep bond between John and his friends, and when he falls in love, John Agar is likely to love just as deeply.
