Bahá'u'lláh drive and ambition
He is a "busy bee" - energetic, restless, and forever on the go. His active mind is always buzzing with ideas and Bahá'u'lláh sometimes finds it difficult to relax, slow down or take the time to reflect and regroup. Bahá'u'lláh tends to live on nervous energy. He can accomplish a great deal in short bursts, but projects that require long-term commitment, stamina and steady, persistent effort are not easy for Mírzá Husayn-`Alí. Bahá'u'lláh often scatters his energies into so many directions and activities at once that he cannot finish or follow through on all of them. He needs variety, change and intellectual challenges.
Bahá'u'lláh has a sharp and eager mind, and he enjoys games and competitions with an intellectual challenge. Bahá'u'lláh likes to match wits with others.
Mírzá Husayn-`Alí often achieves his desires through his verbal skill and his ability to speak out clearly and convincingly for what he wants. His drive and energy are more intellectual than physical. Bahá'u'lláh uses his wit, intelligence, communication skills, social sophistication and awareness to achieve his goals.
Bahá'u'lláh meets numerous challenges and possibly defeats in pursuit of his goals and desires, and his setbacks often occur because Bahá'u'lláh has been too rash or intent on working his own will regardless of the impact on others. Bahá'u'lláh is intense and passionate, and simply does not know when to stop sometimes! Recklessness with others can be a problem for Mírzá Husayn-`Alí.
Bahá'u'lláh has the gift of endurance and perseverance, as well as the willingness to work hard to achieve his objectives. Once he decides he wants something or makes a commitment, Bahá'u'lláh will do it "even if it takes forever". Self-discipline comes naturally to Bahá'u'lláh and he instinctively realizes that any creative achievement is "10% inspiration, 90% perspiration". Mírzá Husayn-`Alí chooses practical, realistic goals and pursues them step-by-step in a well-planned, orderly fashion. Bahá'u'lláh likes to concentrate on one thing at a time and he does a thorough job. He enjoys working in solitude, and often feels he does his best work when he is alone.
Unless he has a goal that transcends merely personal gain, Bahá'u'lláh is apt to become deeply discontented, aimless and uncertain of his direction in life. At his best, Bahá'u'lláh will work or fight for a greater cause, and feel fulfilled through serving the greater good. However, should he lack the necessary focus, Mírzá Husayn-`Alí could be confused and easily persuaded to do things that are either unethical or simply ineffectual.
Bahá'u'lláh has a powerful will and when he wants something, he pursues it passionately and relentlessly until he achieves it. He may be so driven by his desire that he loses all objectivity. Bahá'u'lláh often becomes compulsive, even obsessed, with doing or achieving something, no matter what the costs or how hard he must work for it. His forcefulness may be veiled or subtle, for often Mírzá Husayn-`Alí does not reveal his real aims and intentions to others until they cross him. Intense power struggles and relationships with a strong dominance/submissiveness theme are likely to erupt. Bahá'u'lláh has enormous energy reserves, and is capable of extraordinary effort and great achievement if he uses his energies for constructive purposes.
He is optimistic, generous and enterprising, and has an enthusiastic outlook. Bahá'u'lláh has a strong desire to make something of him and is likely to be successful. Almost any initiative that Mírzá Husayn-`Alí takes will probably work out as he wants it to.
Bahá'u'lláh tends to be on the defensive and fears rejection in love relationships. There could be a violent streak in Mírzá Husayn-`Alí and he is inclined to be rather jealous. Because of his strong sense of duty Bahá'u'lláh may also sacrifice his own happiness for others.
He may have to overcome some significant handicap from his childhood or background in order to attain his ambitions in life. Bahá'u'lláh may appear un-ambitious, but he is apt to simply be playing his cards close to his chest. A sense of inadequacy based on early disappointments may make Bahá'u'lláh an underachiever. However, he can accomplish a great deal if he understands the influence of the past, and learns to give himself the support and help which was lacking.
His career is apt to involve protecting, caring, and nurturing in some aspect. Home, family relationships, cherishing the past, continuing a tradition are also featured. Bahá'u'lláh is apt to be quite popular through his profession or business.
His profession could involve physical strength and prowess, such as athletics, fire fighting, law enforcement, or the military. Bahá'u'lláh would never be happy in a quiet, sit-down job. Vigorous competition and strenuous work are undoubtedly key components of both what Bahá'u'lláh does and how he achieves his long-range goals.
