Wilhelm Reich drive and ambition
Wilhelm Reich avoids direct confrontation as much as possible and is uncomfortable with aggressiveness, competition and personal power. His ego drive is not very dominant and Reich is not especially ambitious or eager to push his way to the top. He may feel inadequate in situations that call for strong, forceful action. The only instance in which Wilhelm Reich will really fight is when he senses that his loved ones - or something dear to him- are being jeopardized, in which case he is a fierce defender. Wilhelm Reich has a very strong protective side. He acts on impulse and instinct and may lash out at anyone he perceives as threatening to Wilhelm's home or family. However, Wilhelm Reich will rarely initiate a confrontation. His goals also tend to be very personal and centered on family closeness and inner satisfaction rather than worldly achievement.
He is sensitive to stress and does not handle a high-pressured, competitive atmosphere very well. Wilhelm Reich is very touchy, irritable and difficult to live with when there are many demands or stressful situations at work. His energy level varies and is very dependent on the emotional harmony (or lack thereof) in his home. A supportive partner is very instrumental in helping Reich to achieve his goals and desires.
Reich plays vigorously and enjoys competitive games and physical rough-and-tumble activities. Athletics and/or physical activities have great appeal for him. Wilhelm Reich takes the initiative in sports and also in romantic relationships: he is ardent in pursuing anything he desires.
Wilhelm Reich has a rather cocky, confident, we-can-do-it attitude which people in his environment pick up on quite readily. Inspiring, motivating, and encouraging others to go out and do their very best is one of Wilhelm's innate gifts. Wilhelm Reich has faith in the power of action and boldness, and enjoys imitating new programs and projects.
Although enterprising and proactive, Wilhelm Reich is also capable of ample much self-discipline, patience and effort. He may swing from confidence and trust in the future to pessimism and doubt, when it comes to achieving his aims in life.
Reich frequently meets a tremendous amount of resistance whenever he wants to assert himself in a decisive way, or do something just for himself. This resistance comes from within (in the form of self-doubt, fear, or a heavy sense of responsibility to others), as well as from practical and circumstantial limitations. Especially when initiating a project or acting independently, Wilhelm Reich may tell himself that he is not really prepared, or that he is not good enough (yet), and he puts a lot of pressure on himself. Despite the obstacles, setbacks, or lack of support he encounters, Wilhelm Reich can accomplish a lot in a patient, steady fashion. However, he is apt to aim too low, and not realize how much he is truly capable of.
Wilhelm Reich should try to recognize that he does not have to justify his existence or prove his worth by his accomplishments.
Although he is patient and steady when pursuing an objective, when Wilhelm Reich finally loses patience he loses it completely! In addition to having great tenacity and perseverance, Wilhelm has a daring and rebellious side as well:
Fits of temper and impatience, and a sudden, erratic sort of recklessness can all work very much against Wilhelm Reich, especially when he needs to be working cooperatively as part of a team or in a partnership. When he is upset or fired up about something, Wilhelm often does things that are risky and outrageous. When out of balance, Reich tends to be accident prone.
Somewhat self-willed and obstinate, Reich tends to withdraw from everything that he deem unnecessary. He may prefer to be alone and is inclined to cut himself off from other people frequently, resulting in loneliness and depression.
His role in life is apt to be one of great responsibility and Wilhelm Reich takes his tasks very seriously. Certain heaviness weighs on him because of this. He may have been unusually ambitious or mature at a tender age. Wilhelm Reich advances and attains his aspirations through dedication and perseverance, rather than fortune.
His aspirations in life are apt to be quite unusual, extraordinary, or ahead of their time. Wilhelm Reich is a nonconformist, insistent on doing things his own way, and he will follow a zigzag course to the fulfillment of his ambitions.
Rebelling against authority seems to be one aspect of his life's plan. Wilhelm Reich simply cannot force himself into a pre-cast mold of any kind.
Wilhelm has grand aspirations and may be inordinately ambitious at times. That is, he is apt to be discontent with small successes and to feel like a failure unless he achieves extraordinary things. Wilhelm Reich should avoid get-rich-quick schemes which promise tremendous returns for little energy expenditure. Even if they do seem to succeed, Reich's ideals and values could be compromised.
Happiness and fulfillment in Wilhelm's career are likely, because he gives his all to it and will not make the sorts of compromises that others feel compelled to make in order to succeed. Self-expression and being his own person are very important to Reich.
Enormous aid is apt to come to Wilhelm Reich through his father or another important man in his life. His relationships with superiors and those in a position to boost his career are usually excellent.
Fluidity of speech and thought, and using intellectual gifts or communicative skills to achieve his ambitions in life are featured. Convincing, selling, persuading, reasoning, bringing ideas into public awareness are also part of Reich's professional life.
Reich can be rather antagonistic toward those in authority. Even without realizing it, he may convey this attitude and he may well be threatening to those in power. Thus, however well-meaning Wilhelm Reich is, he may find his initiatives or projects meet with little favor. Working independently might be Wilhelm's best option.
His disposition could seem a bit strange to others and Reich has a tendency to lose himself in illusions. Wilhelm Reich has a very dreamy nature and is inclined to fantasize about erotic and sexual situations.
He is inclined to deem himself irresistible and could give the impression of being a bit snobbish. Wilhelm Reich tends to concentrate mostly on himself and expects others to adapt to his wishes. Very creative, Wilhelm also strives to be the best artistically.
Wilhelm Reich is always trying to escape routine and has a strong desire for new experiences. Reich may feel that the course of his life is oppressive and will use all the strength at his disposal to rebel against it.
