Shania Twain challenges and difficulties
Shania Twain often has a sense of longing or homesickness for something she cannot name or specify, and she may have both: great attraction toward, and fear of, mysticism and parapsychology.
Overcoming feelings of fear, guilt, anxiety, loneliness, or oversensitivity is an important task for Twain.
Her childhood or her relationships with her parents was restrictive, unloving, or unhappy in ways that may prevent Shania from allowing other people to get close to her in later life. Shania Twain felt deprived in some manner, whether or not she actually was deprived in some way. Emotional separations or repression of her needs and feelings may typify her early life, at least as Twain remembers it. Forgiving her parents and/or letting go of any resentments she has about the limitations that she experienced early in her life is crucial. Also, Shania Twain needs to build her own solid foundation, and investing time and energy into her home, domestic relationships, and inner life can help Shania accomplish this.
Shania Twain seesaws between playing it safe, and doing something unique and original, between self-control and letting loose, between being a responsible adult and a rebellious adolescent, between what Shania has to or should do and what her spontaneous impulses tell her to do. All of this creates enormous inner tension as well as friction with people in her environment. Shania Twain may, for instance, bitterly resent government or authority figures who "crush her individuality", yet ignore her obligations and responsibilities, thus ensuring that they will pursue her. Learning to give each side its due is an ongoing challenge for Twain.
Shania Twain feels that she must work very hard and struggle against tremendous odds that impede her chances of fulfilling her life's ambitions. Shania may adopt a very hard, cynical, or nihilistic attitude that will only drag her down further. There are major problems with her father or figures of authority. Shania Twain may fail simply to spite "them", without realizing that she is primarily hurting herself. If she can overcome her feelings of loneliness, bitterness or isolation, and direct her energies toward constructive endeavors, Twain can be immensely effective because of her tremendous tenacity and potential for achievement.
Her emotional life is likely to be somewhat strained and she has a tendency toward pessimism. Shania Twain may not feel as close in her relationships to her loved ones as she would like to be, and it could be difficult for Shania to give and receive love.
Her attitude toward life is quite serious and she is very thorough. Shania has the need to be by herself and think out everything very carefully before she takes action. Shania Twain may enjoy doing some type of creative art work shaped from hard or heavy materials.
A bit stubborn and self-willed, Shania Twain persists no matter what obstacles she has to overcome. She has great endurance and strength and she forces herself to work very hard. Shania Twain could be somewhat one-sided in the pursuit of her objectives.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which Shania Twain instinctively and habitually reverts to when under stress - a mostly subconscious process that she is apt to over indulge in because it is so familiar and hence easy for her. The direction Shania Twain needs to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.
Shania Twain needs to take what she has learned (either through formal education or her own questing and life experience) and share it with others, communicate it or express it in a way that can benefit others. Knowledge and understanding, which does not enhance either Shania's quality of life or that of persons in her world, is of little real value. Putting Twain's understanding, philosophy, and convictions into practice in her daily relationships, and in the multiple choices she makes every day, will enable Shania Twain to really test her belief system and discover more about life.
When under stress, Shania Twain is apt to seek refuge in imagining that the grass is greener elsewhere, rather than working with what is at hand. Shania Twain needs to cultivate her ability to live in the present!
It is in her marriage and other intimate, one-to-one relationships that she is most likely to wrestle with these issues. She may see the qualities that she needs to develop more fully (described above) in her partner. It is important for Shania Twain to recognize, appreciate, and listen to the people in her life who express such attributes, as well as to develop them herself. Shania Twain has to put energy and attention into learning about others, and about herself through others.
Shania Twain seems to be a loner, rather serious and quiet. Perhaps she is burdened by family conditions that weigh her down. Shania prefers to associate with older or more authoritative people and is happier in a subordinate position.
