Behind Williams' proud and rather self-centered demeanor (described in the previous chapter), he is a thoughtful person concerned with social issues. He is very sensitive to the ways in which economic, social and cultural issues affect individuals. In his own life, Robbie Williams struggles to find ways to advance himself while also contributing something valuable to his community. Williams must not be content with simply blaming society for his own problems or those of others, but rather become active in finding creative ways to solve these problems.
He is a freedom-loving, strong-willed and independent-minded individual, and he insists upon living his own life as he sees fit, even if it means ignoring convention and tradition. Although he takes himself and his responsibilities seriously, there is also a part of Robbie Williams that rebels against rules and restrictions and the need to contend with outside authority.
