Buckminster Fuller drive and ambition
Fuller is proud and ambitious and he strives to excel, stand out and be recognized for who and what he is. Buckminster Fuller has a very dominant ego and likes to be Number One. Buckminister finds it difficult to take orders from others or to stay in the background, and he hates being wrong; Buckminster Fuller always insists that he is right!
He is forceful, strong, energetic, determined and highly competitive. Buckminster Fuller plays hard, plays to win and does not give up easily. In fact, he sees life as a competitive sport or performance. Buckminister loves admiration and applause, and he has a strong sense of personal honor and integrity. Buckminster Fuller tends to be very self-confident, even arrogant. Because of his self-confidence, Buckminister is able to accomplish a great deal, but if his confidence is ever undermined, Buckminster Fuller becomes self-conscious, defensive and rather belligerent.
It is not easy for Buckminster Fuller to show the world at large his angry or competitive side, but his family sees this side of him more often. Temper tantrums, tumultuous family relationships, or a great deal of competition between Fuller and one or more of his relations, are likely. Buckminster Fuller likes to be the one in charge in his home and he puts a lot of energy into making things go his way.
Intensely restless, dynamic and energetic, he is always on the go. When Buckminster Fuller wants something, he wants it NOW, and he acts decisively and impulsively, albeit sometimes hastily and prematurely. Impatient, high-strung, and often nervous and tense, Buckminister finds it difficult to slow down, pace himself or relax. He is fiercely individualistic and independent, self-willed and intolerant of restraints and restrictions imposed by others. Buckminster Fuller has a reckless disregard for authority and can be extremely rebellious. Cooperating with others is not Fuller's strong point! He is often brutally frank and abrupt with people, and can be quite impersonal when he is pursuing a desired goal. He may demonstrate an explosive temper when his will is blocked. Buckminster Fuller has a superabundance of energy and he needs a great deal of personal freedom to do things in his own style and at his own pace.
While Buckminster Fuller is often charged with energy and inspired about what he wants to do (as mentioned earlier), there is a dreamy, visionary, or passive side to him as well. His energy level may fluctuate from being superabundant to rather lax.
Unlike some who have hopes and fantasies, Fuller is a person who tries to live out these dreams, no matter how impractical or fantastic they may seem. Buckminster Fuller has a quixotic, idealistic streak. He may be more inspired to work for a higher cause than simply for his own personal achievement.
He is rebellious and confident that he can do his own thing and still be accepted by the world around him. Because he is a freedom-lover, Buckminster Fuller may find it difficult to relate to others and most of his relationships are likely to be very challenging.
