Prince William of Wales motivation
At heart he is quite different from what his exuberant, freewheeling manner (described in the previous chapter) would suggest. Although Prince William of Wales gets restless and like to move around, home is also very important to him, and he craves security and familiarity (as described in more detail below). At times he may feel torn between his craving for the comfortable and familiar versus a taste for the foreign and the unknown. Windsor will need to find a place in his life for these two contradictory impulses.
Prince William has powerful emotional attachments to the past, his family, his childhood, places he associates with safety and security, and his beginnings. It is very important to Windsor to maintain a connection with his roots and heritage and keep family bonds strong. Loyal, devoted, and sentimental, Windsor tends to cling to whatever is dear to him - be it a person, a familiar place, or a cherished possession.
He is sympathetic, nurturing, supportive and very sensitive to the emotional needs of other people. Prince William likes to be needed and to care for others, and he often worries about the people he loves. Prince William of Wales has a very strong need for a sense of belonging and acceptance, and much of his life centers on his home. He is more concerned about people and their feelings than with power, achievement, or position in society. Kindness, consideration and tenderness are more meaningful to Prince William of Wales than any sort of honor the world can bestow.
He is primarily emotional and his views are often dominated by his feelings and his own personal, subjective experiences, rather than reason, logic or abstract principles. It is difficult for him to judge situations fairly and objectively because his personal sympathies and loyalties usually factor in. Prince William of Wales takes things very personally and sometimes builds a wall around himself to shield himself from pain and rejection. Prince William of Wales feels rather shy and vulnerable at heart. He also tends to be moody and experiences frequent mood swings. Prince William of Wales needs to have a place and time in his life to withdraw, introspect, dream and replenish himself; otherwise Prince William of Wales becomes cranky and unhappy with those around him.
Prince William of Wales functions in an instinctive, irrational manner and likes to immerse himself in creative activities where he can express his feelings, imagination and instincts. Windsor often loves to cook, since it can be both creative and a way to nurture and nourish others. Prince William of Wales also has a great affinity for music, because it evokes and communicates feelings that may be difficult or impossible to put into words.
His compassion, sensitivity, and imagination are Windsor's strong points. His faults include an inability to let go of the past and move forward, clannishness and prejudice, and a tendency for self-pity when facing hardship.
Prince William of Wales invests a tremendous amount of his creative energy into his relationships with others, particularly his marriage or other close partnerships. Prince William feels that he needs others in order to be all that he can be, and he is disinclined to solitary activities and endeavors.
Working with people on a one-to-one basis to bring about mutual understanding, harmony, and satisfaction is an area in which Prince William of Wales can really excel. Counseling or negotiating are talents of his.
The above description of Prince William of Wales is so deeply ingrained that he has little objectivity and often little appreciation for other, different ways of approaching life. Prince William of Wales tends to be one-sided. There is little ambiguity in his makeup and he generally knows what he wants and what will make him happy.
Prince William has lofty aspirations but does not struggle or labor to achieve them. His self-confidence and inner harmony attract success and benefit him in an almost magical way. His optimism and cheerful generosity also win Windsor many allies and successes in life.
At times Prince William of Wales may feel an uncontrollable urge to radically alter his direction in life, or to act in ways that seem eccentric or at least highly uncharacteristic of him. When his life is becoming too predictable, Prince William may do something to upset the status quo, sometimes without realizing why or how he is doing this. These impulses may seem at odds with his conscious intent and desires for himself, and can be unsettling. However, there is a streak of unconventionality and creative genius in Prince William of Wales which needs to be expressed now and then.
Prince William of Wales is extremely sensitive, compassionate and giving, often to his own detriment. His ideals and spiritual values motivate Prince William of Wales, and he cannot live for personal gain or materialistic concerns alone. There must be an element of beauty, magic, imagination, inspiration or creativity in what he does. Otherwise Prince William of Wales becomes listless and aimless. The arts, theater, music and/or charitable work are ideally suited to Prince William.
