Padre Pio drive and ambition
Once Padre Pio sets his mind on a goal, his dedication, determination, and commitment to it are extraordinary. Pio of Pietrelcina pursues his ambitions tenaciously and will stubbornly refuse to give up, let go, or be influenced in any way. Like Aesop's tortoise, Francesco Forgione labors patiently and steadfastly until he achieves what he wants - or until it is clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that all is lost. He is a reliable, consistent, and productive worker, and he often shoulders more of the workload than his co-workers, usually without complaint. The nitty-gritty work often falls to him. He prefers a regular routine, with definite hours and clearly defined responsibilities and tasks. In fact, establishing a pattern or routine is very important to his success because once he gets started in a certain direction, is easy for Padre Pio to follow it through to its completion. Getting started is more difficult. Padre Pio has a lazy, comfort-loving side and there is often a good deal of inertia for him to overcome before Pio of Pietrelcina gets going; but once he gets a momentum going, his energy level is strong and steady.
He is interested in concrete results and solid, practical achievement. Padre Pio needs to have some tangible product or contribution to show for his efforts, and cannot be content with only intangible rewards (such as having a good time, learning, or spiritual enrichment). Material well-being and security is also a large factor in determining what he does. His stamina and persistence is Francesco Forgione's great strength but it can also work against him; he can get caught in a rut and refuse to seize new opportunities. Padre Pio also tends to play it safe, and to limit himself in that way.
Pio of Pietrelcina is attracted to feisty, dynamic, strong-willed people, and he seems to need a lot of fireworks in his personal relationships. Padre Pio can be very combative, or get involved with people who are. Ideally Francesco Forgione will join with people who are energetic and ambitious, but not too domineering or aggressive.
While Padre Pio enjoys challenging himself to extend his abilities or try new activities, he is apt to bite off more than he can chew. Failures or accidents due to overestimating his prowess or capacities and being overly eager and poorly prepared, may result. Fortunately these disappointments or blunders do not dampen Francesco Forgione's spirits or his ambitions permanently; he has a lot of resilience and optimism. Most likely Padre Pio will need to develop his physical coordination and sense of timing in order to do some of the activities he dreams of doing.
His competitive drive and big ambitions (commented upon earlier) are fueled upon by either strong spiritual idealism, or a rather inflated, grandiose idea of what Padre Pio can actually accomplish. His energy level is apt to fluctuate from being very strong, as noted earlier, to rather low, as mentioned in the following paragraphs.
Padre Pio has a very active and fertile imagination and his ambitions are never strictly mundane, practical, and concrete. Padre Pio has a strong desire to act out his fantasies, dreams, visions, and ideals. Artistic creation, drama, or other areas in which Pio of Pietrelcina can express himself imaginatively are excellent for him. Ordinary life seems drab and uninteresting to Francesco Forgione, and he needs to have some big dream or something larger than his own narrow personal interests to live for. Sometimes he may be confused about exactly how and where to direct his energy and he often drifts along rather than making clear decisions about what he wants. Padre Pio has a passive side and at times lacks the will power, physical energy, strength, and the fighting spirit to achieve his aims.
When Padre Pio wants something, Padre Pio goes after it with passionate zeal and is sometimes so driven by his desire that he loses all objectivity. Francesco Forgione gets so deeply involved in whatever he is pursuing that he becomes one-sided, even fanatical. Strong-willed and stubborn, Padre Pio insists on having his way no matter the cost. He is fascinated with power. Padre Pio often tries to overpower anything or anyone he perceives as an obstacle, if not physically then by the force of his will. Pio of Pietrelcina can be ruthless and impersonal when it comes to achieving his ambitions and goals in life. Francesco Forgione has enormous energy and is capable of extraordinary effort and great achievement. Pio of Pietrelcina can also become a compulsive workaholic.
In his professional life Padre Pio is apt to have a great deal of recognition and success. Early on in his career, important and influential people in his field are apt to notice Francesco Forgione and help him along. At some point, he himself is apt to be quite an influential person - at least in his chosen line of endeavor. Padre Pio is headed for a leadership role.
Francesco Forgione's profession is apt to involve communications, language, carrying messages, sales, speaking, or teaching - put simply, getting ideas across. A great deal of social involvement, networking, and personnel skills also play a significant part in his professional role.
He is attracted to careers which are somewhat unusual, creative, or avant-garde, and which offer Padre Pio a maximum amount of freedom and independence. The nine-to-five routine is really not his cup of tea. Francesco Forgione may make his living in diversified ways rather than focusing on one specific area or talent, and he is happiest when he can create a place in the world for his unique combination of different talents and interests. It is hard and unnatural for Padre Pio to try to fit himself into a ready-made mold.
Francesco Forgione has an aptitude for detective or research work, or any field that involves digging beneath the surface for the hidden elements. An interest in psychology, hypnosis, and utilizing subconscious forces or subliminal messages may well be a key factor in his career.
Whatever his choice of profession, Padre Pio is apt to feel a sense of inner mission about it and may pursue it with great zeal and intensity.
He is a bit restless and always seems to be in motion. Padre Pio probably had the desire to go his own way early in life, wanting to learn from his own mistakes and experiences. His plans for the future are far-reaching and Padre Pio may choose an unusual career.
A fast thinker, Francesco Forgione is able to grasp everything immediately and can come to quick conclusions. Padre Pio thinks about a particular matter acutely and keenly and then acts swiftly. He may lean toward becoming an inventor, a mathematician or physicist.
He is inclined to be a bit eccentric, and difficulties in his relationships with his family members or friends may cause Pio of Pietrelcina to feel depressed and alone frequently. Francesco Forgione may be drawn more to older people.
He is quite restless and indefatigable in the pursuit of his objectives. Only satisfied with maximum results, Padre Pio fights to the last moment. Some of his endeavors could be a bit daring though, and his aims a bit high.
