Noam Chomsky drive and ambition
Noam Chomsky avoids direct confrontation as much as possible and is uncomfortable with aggressiveness, competition and personal power. His ego drive is not very dominant and Chomsky is not especially ambitious or eager to push his way to the top. He may feel inadequate in situations that call for strong, forceful action. The only instance in which Noam Chomsky will really fight is when he senses that his loved ones - or something dear to him- are being jeopardized, in which case he is a fierce defender. Noam Chomsky has a very strong protective side. He acts on impulse and instinct and may lash out at anyone he perceives as threatening to Noam's home or family. However, Noam Chomsky will rarely initiate a confrontation. His goals also tend to be very personal and centered on family closeness and inner satisfaction rather than worldly achievement.
He is sensitive to stress and does not handle a high-pressured, competitive atmosphere very well. Noam Chomsky is very touchy, irritable and difficult to live with when there are many demands or stressful situations at work. His energy level varies and is very dependent on the emotional harmony (or lack thereof) in his home. A supportive partner is very instrumental in helping Chomsky to achieve his goals and desires.
Chomsky is attracted to feisty, dynamic, strong-willed people, and he seems to need a lot of fireworks in his personal relationships. Noam Chomsky can be very combative, or get involved with people who are. Ideally Noam will join with people who are energetic and ambitious, but not too domineering or aggressive.
Noam Chomsky has a rather cocky, confident, we-can-do-it attitude which people in his environment pick up on quite readily. Inspiring, motivating, and encouraging others to go out and do their very best is one of Noam's innate gifts. Noam Chomsky has faith in the power of action and boldness, and enjoys imitating new programs and projects.
Intensely restless, dynamic and energetic, he is always on the go. When Noam Chomsky wants something, he wants it NOW, and he acts decisively and impulsively, albeit sometimes hastily and prematurely. Impatient, high-strung, and often nervous and tense, Noam finds it difficult to slow down, pace himself or relax. He is fiercely individualistic and independent, self-willed and intolerant of restraints and restrictions imposed by others. Noam Chomsky has a reckless disregard for authority and can be extremely rebellious. Cooperating with others is not Chomsky's strong point! He is often brutally frank and abrupt with people, and can be quite impersonal when he is pursuing a desired goal. He may demonstrate an explosive temper when his will is blocked. Noam Chomsky has a superabundance of energy and he needs a great deal of personal freedom to do things in his own style and at his own pace.
His competitive drive and lofty ambitions (commented upon earlier) feed on either intense spiritual idealism or a rather inflated, grandiose idea of what Noam Chomsky can actually accomplish. His energy level is apt to fluctuate from being very high, as noted earlier, to rather low, as mentioned in the following paragraphs.
While Noam Chomsky is often charged with energy and inspired about what he wants to do (as mentioned earlier), there is a dreamy, visionary, or passive side to him as well. His energy level may fluctuate from being superabundant to rather lax.
Unlike some who have hopes and fantasies, Chomsky is a person who tries to live out these dreams, no matter how impractical or fantastic they seem. Noam Chomsky has a quixotic, idealistic streak. He may be more inspired to work for some higher cause than simply for his own personal achievement.
He enjoys life and is capable of feeling and experiencing everything deeply. His sense of love and eroticism is strong and Noam Chomsky has a fondness for children, whom he will treat tenderly and affectionately.
He is well aware of his personal charms and has the ability to utilize them to his advantage. Because of his strong need for love, Noam Chomsky may engage in impulsive relationships at times. But his ability to give and receive love is well balanced.
In order to achieve his ambitions in life Noam Chomsky may well feels that he must make a significant break from his personal past, especially the influences of his childhood environment, his family relationships, or familial traditions. Chomsky is apt to be the black sheep, or the one who left home and never really returned.
What Noam Chomsky wants to do in life may seem "off the wall" or "way out in left field" to some people.
Chomsky is intensely competitive, and may engage in furious battles of will, numerous conflicts, and possible public controversy, on his way to gaining his objectives. Noam Chomsky could be drawn to activities that are dangerous, in the line of fire, so to speak. He puts himself on the line. Anger or recklessness could be his downfall.
Noam wants very much to be in a position to be able to positively influence and help many people. However, he may believe that he has to sacrifice his idealism or convictions in order to attain his ambitions. At times his desire for prominence, popularity, or stature may make Noam Chomsky do things that put him in a dubious situation with his superiors.
He is very conscious of his purpose or objective in life and he is ambitious with a strong desire to succeed. His leadership ability is apparent to everyone and Noam Chomsky does not take a back seat to anyone.
Because he has a very fascinating personality, others are drawn to Chomsky and may look to him for guidance and direction. It is easy for Noam Chomsky to attain power and authority in life, and he most likely will be very successful in his career or occupation.
