Though Musetta Vander cares very much about her dignity and the way she is perceived by others (as described on the previous page), she has a very mischievous, playful side that pokes fun of anyone who takes herself too seriously (including herself!). Also, though her great loyalty was highlighted in the previous chapter, fortunately she is also flexible and playful, so she does not allow her commitments to become too burdensome.

Musetta Vander is, in many ways, an eternal child. Her mind is bright, alert, curious, flexible, playful and always eager for new experiences - and her attention span is often quite brief. Vander grasps ideas quickly and once her initial curiosity has been satisfied, she is ready to move on. Musetta Vander craves frequent change and variety, as well as new situations and people.

It may be hard for Musetta Vander to decide just where her talents and true vocation lie, for she has a multitude of interests and is loathe limiting herself by concentrating on just one. She is easily distracted by all of the other fascinating possibilities. Her curiosity and restlessness propel Musetta toward many different experiences in life, and she is willing to taste or try anything once. Doing the same thing over and over again, even if it is something she does well, is tantamount to drudgery for Vander.

Musetta Vander lives in her head a great deal - reading, observing, thinking, spinning ideas around - and she needs mental stimulation every bit as much as she needs food and drink. In fact, if Musetta had to choose between a good book or movie and a good lunch, she would very likely choose the former. Musetta Vander has a creative mind and she often lives by her wits.

She is also a very social creature, with a strong need to communicate and interact with people. She enjoys using and playing with words and has a real flair for getting her ideas across in a clever, interesting, articulate manner. Writing and/or speaking are areas she has talent for.

Musetta Vander also has a rather lighthearted and mischievous sense of humor, and often does not take anything too seriously. Though she craves emotional involvement, it is hard for Musetta Vander to achieve it, for she is frequently unwilling to commit herself to anything, to take responsibility or to limit her personal freedom and mobility.

Her happiness lies in using her creativity and language skills to communicate something meaningful, teach, inspire, or bring people together. Musetta has an unbiased mind and can usually offer a fresh, clear, uncluttered perspective. Her faults are her lack of constancy and persistence, and her tendency to overlook or ignore deep emotional issues and other people's feelings.

Vander is very attracted to world travel, foreign cultures and studies that expand her intellectual horizons and broaden her understanding of the world.

Musetta Vander is philosophically inclined and concerned with seeking answers to the big questions of life or getting an overall picture of any situation. Abstract concepts and/or plans for the future occupy her mind much of the time.

Musetta Vander tends to see things from her perspective only and to be rather subjective. She also enjoys talking and expressing her views but does not always listen as well. Musetta Vander has a clear mind, a love of learning and new experiences, and she needs constant mental stimulation and activity.

Her vitality is not up to par and her will-power a bit weak, making Musetta Vander vulnerable to swindle or deceit. Her inner discontent and casual attitude could easily lead Vander into dubious schemes. Musetta should refrain from any activity that seems to be subversive.
