Mitt Romney general characteristics
Mitt Romney's fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized by the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique balance of these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth (practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and feelings).
Romney's "elemental make-up" is described below. Remember that most people are "unbalanced" or lopsided, and if Mitt is lacking or deficient in a certain element (or elements), it simply means that he needs to consciously develop that particular aspect in order to appreciate and/or work harder in that dimension of life.
Sometimes we overestimate the element that we are least endowed with, sensing it as a lack within ourselves, but more often we neglect or ignore it. The qualities described below will be reiterated and explained in more detail in the following pages.
Mitt Romney is ruled by his emotions and feelings and easily influenced by his moods and the feelings of those around him. Because he is so sensitive to his environment, Mitt Romney needs to be in an atmosphere that is positive and relatively free of psychic influences. Failing that, Romney absorbs the negative vibes and ends up feeling badly himself. Highly sympathetic, Mitt readily senses what others feel inside (whether they express it or not), and this deep emotional rapport can be both a gift and a curse: he can get extremely close to those he cares for, however Mitt Romney also feels other people's feelings so strongly that he perceives their emotions or problems as his own. Learning to distinguish the boundaries between himself and others is important. Furthermore, Mitt Romney needs to respect these boundaries; other people may need more personal, separate space than he does. His tendency is to want to merge with the ones he loves, which can be interpreted as demanding or smothering by people with less of a need and capacity for emotional closeness. His sensitivity and compassion and imaginative faculties are highly developed, and Mitt Romney may find it difficult to communicate everything he feels in logical, rational terms. Words seem inadequate, and the language of touch or music or visual imagery may come much more naturally to him.
Unless he has astrological energies that indicate otherwise, Mitt Romney is prone to be rather passive, possibly lazy, and also quite sensual. Weight problems are very possible.
He is likely to be overly humble or unsure of himself and to look to others for inspiration, motivation, reinforcement and approval. Tending to be somewhat passive, Mitt Romney must learn how to take initiative and motivate himself.
A lack of warmth (either physical, emotional or both) may be evident in Romney and can manifest physically as a low energy level, paleness and lack of color in the skin, or a tendency to be easily chilled. Emotionally, it can be reflected in a marked coolness or aloofness with little spiritedness, joyfulness, or enthusiasm for living. Eating warming, spicy foods, living in a warm, sunny place, and using fire in his daily life (lighting candles, using a wood stove or fireplace for heat) can help balance Mitt. Also, spending time with warm, cheerful, positive-minded people and developing a philosophy based on spiritual optimism can stir up Mitt's own zest for life.
On the positive side, Mitt Romney is unlikely to be egocentric and has a capacity for ample patience and peacefulness.
One of his primary challenges lies in developing a sense of security and stability and adopting a steady rhythm in life. Cultivating self-discipline, patience and endurance and learning to accept realistic limitations will enable Mitt Romney to be more productive and to implement some of his ideas and creative impulses. Mitt Romney is not always interested in the practicalities and compromises required to make his dreams a reality.
At times, Mitt Romney feels out of place in the world, restless, discontent, unable to find his niche and dissatisfied with mundane reality. This may have the positive effect of sparking Romney's exploration of the creative, imaginative or spiritual side of life. However, Mitt tends to resist growing up and learning how to effectively deal with adult responsibility. He also tends to be either bound up with the past or projecting into the future, thereby ignoring the present. To become more grounded in the here and now, Mitt Romney may find it helpful to get massages on a regular basis, make a practice of gentle, rhythmic exercise like walking or yoga, and eat substantial, heavy foods.
His outward behavior, which - as we shall see in the next chapter - is rather lighthearted and rational in nature, can be very deceiving since, overall, Mitt Romney is quite an emotional, deeply feeling, often irrational person.
