Though Kanye West cares very much about his dignity and the way he is perceived by others (as described on the previous page), he has a very mischievous, playful side that pokes fun at anyone taking themselves too seriously (including himself!). Also, although his great loyalty was mentioned in the previous chapter, fortunately he is flexible and playful too, so consequently he does not allow his commitments to become too burdensome.

Kanye West is, in many ways, an eternal child. His mind is bright, alert, curious, flexible, playful, and always eager for new experiences - and his attention span is often quite brief. West grasps ideas quickly and once his initial curiosity has been satisfied, he wants to go on to something else. Kanye West craves frequent change, variety, meeting new situations and people.

It may be hard for Kanye West to decide just where his talents and true vocation lie, for he has a multitude of interests and is loathe to limiting himself by concentrating on just one. Kanye West often feels that he is at cross purposes with himself, for his conscious intentions and desires conflict with his subconscious emotional needs and drives. He is pulled in two different directions. Kanye has difficulty satisfying both his need to be an individual and his need for caring relationships and a sense of belonging. Also, Kanye sends out mixed messages so people do not always know how to respond to him or know what Kanye really wants, thus creating confusion or conflict in close relationships.

He is blessed with abundant optimism, self-confidence, and cheerful generosity. His good will and friendliness win him many allies. Kanye West also has grand visions and aspirations, and the desire to succeed in life in a big way. Kanye expects the best, and usually gets it.

Kanye West is extremely sensitive, compassionate, and giving, often to his own personal disadvantage. His ideals and spiritual values motivate Kanye West, and he cannot live only for personal gain or materialistic concerns. There must be an element of beauty, magic, imagination, inspiration or creativity in what he does. Otherwise Kanye West becomes listless and aimless. The arts, theater, music, and/or charitable works suit Kanye well.
