Although Tesh may seem quite poised, even-tempered, balanced and harmonious (as mentioned in the previous chapter), he is actually rather moody and emotional. Inside, he is much more subjective and biased in his attitudes than his fair-minded, reasonable demeanor may imply.
John has powerful emotional attachments to the past, his family, his childhood, places he associates with safety and security, and his beginnings. It is very important to Tesh to maintain a connection with his roots and heritage and keep family bonds strong. Loyal, devoted, and sentimental, Tesh tends to cling to whatever is dear to him - be it a person, a familiar place, or a cherished possession.
He is sympathetic, nurturing, supportive and very sensitive to the emotional needs of other people. John likes to be needed and to care for others, and he often worries about the people he loves. John Tesh has a very strong need for a sense of belonging and acceptance, and much of his life centers on his home. He is more concerned about people and their feelings than with power, achievement, or position in society. John Tesh functions in an instinctive, irrational manner and likes to immerse himself in creative activities where he can express his feelings, imagination and instincts. Tesh often loves to cook, since it can be both creative and a way to nurture and nourish others. His compassion, sensitivity, and imagination are Tesh's strong points. His faults include an inability to let go of the past and move forward, clannishness and prejudice, and a tendency for self-pity when facing hardship.

John Tesh has a philosophical turn of mind and is concerned with seeking answers to the big questions of life or getting the overview of any situation. Abstract concepts and/or plans for the future occupy his mind much of the time.
John Tesh is loving and well loved by others, and has a strong need for relationships that offer kindness, friendship and affection. His artistic and creative powers are also well developed and John does everything in a harmonious, gracious, pleasing manner. Aesthetics are very important to Tesh, as are his personal appearance and attractiveness.
There is an ongoing, subtle conflict within John Tesh, between his conscious attitudes and aspirations, and his deeper emotional and subconscious beliefs, needs, and feelings. This creates considerable inner stress and sometimes paralyzing indecision, mostly due to the fact that John may be trying to follow a path that is at odds with his subconscious desires. Chronic tightness or tension in his body may well be a signal that John Tesh is denying or suppressing the messages from his subconscious or emotional self.
Ideally, John Tesh will learn to accept the two quite different aspects of his and to express both of them. If he cannot do this, Tesh is apt to attract many relationships into his life with people who reflect his denied or repressed qualities, and who seem to make his life difficult. His life is apt to be blessed with more than his share of helpful friends, fortuitous relationships, and doors opening to him at just the right time. Because John Tesh is usually willing to share and to give back to others in a generous way, he continues to generate successes in his life no matter how unfortunate prevailing circumstances are. John should beware, however, of becoming an opportunist.
Innovative, original, unorthodox and unconventional, he identifies with the role of a rebel, reformer or iconoclast. John Tesh insists upon a great deal of personal freedom and does not easily adapt to others' needs and wishes. John needs a lifestyle that allows him to be spontaneous. He often feels that he is somehow different from other people and outside of society's mainstream.
John is extremely sensitive and imaginative, and he can get lost in his dreams, fantasies and visions. He is attracted to artistic and creative pursuits, as well as to the world of color, beauty, and emotion. John Tesh is also drawn to mysticism and he has deep spiritual aspirations and yearnings. Gentle and peace loving, Tesh may lack the will and competitive spirit needed to make his way in the world. He is often impractical and may seek to avoid or escape the harsh realities of life.
He is somewhat excitable and quickly aroused. John Tesh could be a little self-centered, but at the same time also magnetic. John likes to flirt and tends to fall in love at first sight, but he then transfers his affections to someone else for no apparent reason.
John Tesh seems to have an emotional and physical unrest and he always have to be on the move. John could find it difficult to control himself and he tends to get angry and upset easily. Eccentric and individualistic, he can create a stir wherever he goes.
