Because Jay-Z seems to be such a gentle, tolerant, accepting person (as mentioned in the previous chapter), he can startle people with some of his very pointed, bluntly honest statements. Even though he is sensitive and empathetic, he can also be quite tactless at times. His good will and good intentions, however, usually prevail. With Jay-Hova's free-flowing imagination (described earlier) and his great restlessness (discussed below), he is apt to be a wanderer, and perhaps somewhat of an escapist.

He is a gambler and an adventurer at heart, one who loves to take risks, to discover and explore new worlds, and to travel the untried path rather than the safe, reliable one. He is independent, freedom loving, and often very restless. He needs a lifestyle that provides opportunities for travel, movement, change, and meeting new people. A steady routine, which offers much in the way of security but little in the way of space and freedom, is odious to him.

To Jay-Z, life is a journey and an adventure that is endlessly interesting and rich with possibilities, and it may be difficult for him to decide where to focus his attention and efforts. Jay-Z probably traveled around and experimented with many different paths before he settled on a particular career. Or he may go from one project to the next, for once the challenge and vital interest is gone, he is very quick to move on. Commitment, discipline, focus and concentration are not his strong points. Jay-Hova can be irresponsible and disinclined to take on the burdens and limitations of adult life.

An incurable optimist, he has big dreams, aspirations and hopes for the future and is usually engaged in pursuing a far-off goal. Jay-Z has a great deal of faith and trust in life and failures do not crush his spirit. Jay-Hova always bounces back from disappointments, often with another bright dream or scheme. Jay-Z has a sporting, playful attitude toward life and he is philosophical about his mistakes. Jigga has the ability to sense future trends, to see the big picture, and he likes to theorize and speculate. However, he gets annoyed with all the details and practical requirements required to implement his theories.

Jay-Hova expresses himself in a very open, direct and straightforward manner and is often blunt and tactless as well. Because he does not take himself too seriously, he may not realize how deeply his candid statements can wound more sensitive souls. In fact, though he may not realize it, Jigga's insensitivity and lack of understanding regarding others' feelings is probably one of his worst faults.

Jay-Z enjoys being in close relationships but also needs freedom and he does not do well with a possessive, clinging, or emotionally demanding partner. He is quite generous, and heartily dislikes pettiness in others. Someone who shares his ideals, his sense of fun and his zest for life would be the right companion for Jay-Hova.

World travel, foreign cultures, and studies which expand his intellectual horizons and broaden his understanding of the world are very attractive to Jay-Hova.

Jay-Z has a philosophical turn of mind and is concerned with seeking answers to the big questions of life or getting the overview of any situation. Abstract concepts and/or plans for the future occupy his mind much of the time.

He is an original! Jay-Z radiates a sort of electrical excitement about the things he is interested in, and conveys this to others, but he also gets bored rather quickly. Jigga does not mind being a bit unusual or breaking a few rules either.

His emotions are very intense and Jay-Z is excited quite easily. Love is very important to him and he is constantly seeking emotional fulfillment, but he will not waste time with casual relationships.

Jay-Z probably has great intellectual ability and curiosity. Jigga never seem to run out of ideas and always welcomes the study of new subjects, the more abstract the better. But he also has the basic sense to translate abstract ideas into practical reality.

Jay-Z tends to impose his will upon others in a rather ruthless way, but on the other hand he may also be imposed upon by others. Jigga feels a constant need to fight for leadership and has a great desire to become a public figure.
