Jane Russell drive and ambition
Jane Russell avoids direct confrontation as much as possible and is uncomfortable with aggressiveness, competition and personal power. Her ego drive is not very dominant and Russell is not especially ambitious or eager to push her way to the top. She may feel inadequate in situations that call for strong, forceful action. The only instance in which Jane Russell will really fight is when she senses that her loved ones - or something dear to him- are being jeopardized, in which case she is a fierce defender. Jane Russell has a very strong protective side. She acts on impulse and instinct and may lash out at anyone she perceives as threatening to Jane's home or family. However, Jane Russell will rarely initiate a confrontation. Her goals also tend to be very personal and centered on family closeness and inner satisfaction rather than worldly achievement.
She is sensitive to stress and does not handle a high-pressured, competitive atmosphere very well. Jane Russell is very touchy, irritable and difficult to live with when there are many demands or stressful situations at work. Her energy level varies and is very dependent on the emotional harmony (or lack thereof) in her home. A supportive partner is very instrumental in helping Russell to achieve her goals and desires.
Asserting herself and being direct and forceful about what she wants is often very difficult for Jane. Though she may have a great deal of energy and drive, Jane Russell lacks confidence or simply the desire to put herself and her interests first. On the positive side, Russell can be very unselfish, working more for the benefit of others than for herself.
However, Jane Russell denies her own desires and needs too much, and she is likely to secretly become very angry, which will sabotage her finest efforts.
When Jane Russell wants something, she goes after it with passionate zeal and is sometimes so driven by her desire that she loses all objectivity. Jane gets so deeply involved in whatever she is pursuing that she becomes one-sided, even fanatical. Strong-willed and stubborn, Jane Russell insists on having her way no matter the cost. She is fascinated with power. Russell often tries to overpower anything or anyone she perceives as an obstacle, if not physically, then by the force of her will. Russell can be ruthless and impersonal when it comes to achieving her ambitions and goals in life. Jane Russell has enormous energy and is capable of extraordinary effort and great achievement. Russell can also become a compulsive workaholic.
Exercising self-control could be quite difficult for Jane Russell and she may often become involved in quarrels. Some of these disputes could end in violent behavior, if she is not careful. Being with others seems to put Jane in a constant state of excitement.
Jane Russell really wants to leave her mark on the world in some way, to achieve stature and recognition for her contributions, and she is not willing to take a back seat - at least not for very long. In order to achieve her aims, though, Jane Russell will have to compromise and "give" more than she may be willing to. Thus, conflicts with others, particularly important men in her life, may arise. To accomplish her goals, Jane may have to set aside some of her self-centeredness, and learn from these men! However, Jane Russell may also be required at some point to make a break in order to hold her own and fulfill her own destiny.
Russell is intensely competitive and may engage in furious battles of will, numerous conflicts, and possible public controversy on the road toward meeting her objectives. Jane Russell may be drawn to activities that are dangerous - in the line of fire, so to speak. She puts herself on the line. Anger or recklessness could be her downfall.
