George Raft motivation
Though Raft may seem breezy, independent and freedom loving (as mentioned in the previous chapter), he is in fact not completely happy without a partner. He enjoys being on the move and exploring new territory, but wants a traveling companion! Raft yearns for fulfilling, yet non-restricting relationships.
Harmony and balance are his keynotes. George Raft instinctively understands the need to accommodate other people's interests and desires, and he is always fair and willing to meet others half way. Tactful, diplomatic, and quite socially aware, George does all he can to avoid conflict and discord. His spirit is one of cooperation and compromise, and he often achieves through charm and discretion what would have been impossible to achieve with a direct, forceful approach.
Getting along with and pleasing others may be too important to Raft since he can be too dependent on the approval and opinions of other to make his own decisions. Raft will rarely act without seeking the counsel and feedback of other people. He prefers sharing and doing things with others rather than on his own. Being alone feels very unnatural to George Raft, and he has a strong need for a partner and intimate one-on-one relationships.
George Raft invests a great deal of his energy in personal love relationships and he is very idealistic and romantic about marriage. George Raft seeks a partner who is his equal intellectually, and who is capable of a mental relationship as well as a physical and emotional one. He makes a thoughtful, considerate friend or lover, and he enjoys the traditional symbols of love - courtship, flowers, etc. Raft perceives relationships like an art that requires time, attention and creative effort. George Raft appreciates a partner who is subtle and polished, never coarse or blunt.
Fairness and equality, both in his personal relationships and in the world, are extremely important to him. If George Raft fights about anything, it is often about something he feels is unfair and unbalanced. Balance is very important to George. He believes in moderation in all things and avoids fanaticism and extremism at all costs.
George Raft also has a strong need for beautiful, harmonious surroundings and a natural sense of artistic style and grace, which is reflected in the way Raft dresses and furnishes his home and workspace. Everything must be aesthetically pleasing and appropriate. Working with people as a counselor, advisor, consultant, or negotiator, or in an artistic field such as design or photography would be fulfilling to him.
Raft is very attracted to world travel, foreign cultures and studies that expand his intellectual horizons and broaden his understanding of the world.
George Raft is philosophically inclined and concerned with seeking answers to the big questions of life or getting an overall picture of any situation. Abstract concepts and/or plans for the future occupy his mind much of the time.
He is assertive, energetic, active, courageous and vital. George Raft has a very strong physical drive that expresses itself as sexuality and passion, a desire to compete with others, and a tendency to fight. George Raft has a victorious spirit and the will to win.
His life is apt to be blessed with more than his share of helpful friends, fortuitous relationships, and doors opening up to him at just the right time. Because George Raft is usually willing to share and to give back to others in a generous way, he continues to generate success in his life no matter how unfortunate prevailing circumstances are. George should beware, however, of becoming an opportunist.
