Zappa either overvalues or undervalues his possessions and assets. He can also go to extremes in dealing with bodily needs and desires, being either hedonistic or ascetic. Frank Zappa may deny himself sensual pleasure and enjoyment of the fruits of his labors. He may also be stingy and unable to give freely. Many times Frank Zappa feels that he does not have "enough" to make him feel secure, regardless of how much (money, insurance, etc.) he has!

It may be difficult for Frank Zappa to play spontaneously or just let his hair down, for he tends to inhibit that side of his by being too self-conscious and concerned with the impression he is making.

Frank may work very hard at some sport or creative medium in order to excel, for he wants very, very much to be noticed, acknowledged and recognized as special in some way. Though he may indeed be outstanding, Frank Zappa also needs to learn to relax and enjoy himself more.

His aspirations and dreams are always tempered by realism and practical considerations. Frank Zappa pursues his aims in a systematic, disciplined and thorough manner, and he is willing to take his time, advancing slowly and steadily toward his goal.

Sometimes Frank Zappa underestimates what is possible, and holds himself back unnecessarily due to a lack of faith or an overly cautious attitude.

Once he decides what he wants to do, Frank Zappa will pursue his goal tenaciously and, if necessary, sacrifice a great deal for his deeply felt convictions. Frank tries to build his life on solid ground, but may find it difficult to move forward because he always tends to look back. This could result in feelings of inferiority and periodic depression.

Implicit in this attitude is a kind of arrogance as well as a rather competitive approach, which - at its worst - can alienate him from others, or make Frank Zappa feel that "it is me against the world".

Social skills and graces and what Frank Zappa calls social "games" do not come naturally to him. Frank Zappa needs to learn how to share and join others, and how to negotiate and resolve conflict with others in a cooperative way.

It is in his public life and career that Frank Zappa is most likely to wrestle with these issues. The latter will impact Zappa's reputation and standing in his community or professional circle, as well as how Frank Zappa achieves his important life goals and aspirations.
