Though Mathers may seem breezy, independent and freedom-loving (as mentioned in the previous chapter), actually he is not completely happy without a partner. He enjoys being on the move and exploring new territory - but he wants a traveling companion! Fulfilling relationships that also do not restrict him is Mathers' ideal.

Harmony and balance are his keynotes. Eminem instinctively understands the need to accommodate other people's interests and desires, and he is always fair and willing to meet the other person half way. Tactful, diplomatic, and with considerable social awareness, Marshall does all he can to avoid conflict and discord. He expresses a spirit of cooperation and compromise and often achieves through charm and discretion what would have been impossible to achieve by a direct, forceful approach.
