Edward Bulwer-Lytton general characteristics
Edward Bulwer-Lytton's fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized by the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique balance of these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth (practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and feelings).
1st Baron Lytton's "elemental make-up" is described below. Remember that most people are "unbalanced" or lopsided, and if Lord Bulwer-Lytton is lacking or deficient in a certain element (or elements), it simply means that he needs to consciously develop that particular aspect in order to appreciate and/or work harder in that dimension of life.
Sometimes we overestimate the element that we are least endowed with, sensing it as a lack within ourselves, but more often we neglect or ignore it. The qualities described below will be reiterated and explained in more detail in the following pages.
1st Baron Lytton's gift lies in his ability to perceive, understand and communicate about feelings and matters of the heart and soul. He is thus well suited to any field that involves working with people as a counselor or teacher, and even if Lord Bulwer-Lytton is not trained to do so, others seek him out as an advisor, for Edward Bulwer-Lytton is able to clarify and sensitively discuss their personal concerns and problems. Relationships are of primary importance to Edward Bulwer-Lytton, and his ability to handle them is one of his richest and most fulfilling experiences. Lord Bulwer-Lytton, even more than most people, requires relationships with friends and intimates with whom he shares his thoughts and life experiences.
Edward Bulwer-Lytton also has an active and creative mind and is apt to spend much time reading, thinking or daydreaming, and/or writing (stories, music, lyrics, diaries, letters, etc.). Film or any media combining words with images and emotions also fascinates him.
At times his mind and intellect may seem to be at odds with his instinctive, emotional side, and it is Lord Bulwer-Lytton's task to bring them together. Edward Bulwer-Lytton may spend a lot of time mulling over his experiences and feelings, trying to understand and make sense of them.
He is quite sensitive (psychologically and physically) and may avoid taking a direct, active part in life.
