Although Eddie Money appears gentle and sympathetic toward others (as explained in the previous chapter), he is also a "warrior". Money sometimes feels torn between these two facets of his character: the sensitive, tenderhearted, home-loving side, and the assertive, competitive, risk-taking side. People who first meet Eddie Money often think that he is a "softy", but later find out that he is strong willed and pursues his goals aggressively.

He is a person who thrives on challenge, and he often feels that he must battle his way through life, relying on no one and nothing but his own strength, intelligence and courage. Eddie Money believes in being totally honest, true to himself and his own vision and convictions, even if it means standing alone. Honesty, integrity, personal honor and authenticity are Money's gods, and he has no sympathy for weakness of character in others.

Eddie Money craves the freedom to do things in his own way, and he works very well independently. Cooperating with others or carrying out another's will is not his style. Eddie likes to be the chief - or to go it alone.

Eddie Money is philosophically inclined and concerned with seeking answers to the big questions of life or getting an overall picture of any situation. Abstract concepts and/or plans for the future occupy his mind much of the time.

Eddie Money is loving and well loved by others, and has a strong need for relationships that offer kindness, friendship and affection. Support and helpful guidance from his father or other significant men in his life may well be lacking. In fact, their disapproval of Eddie and their harsh criticism are apt to be two of his greatest handicaps, and at times he may feel quite discouraged and alone. But true self-reliance and a solid sense of his own powers may well be the silver lining to that cloud in his life. Eddie Money needs to learn to follow his own creative impulses and heart's desires, regardless of what his critics or the authorities may say.

Although he takes himself and his responsibilities seriously, there is also a part of Eddie Money that rebels against rules and restrictions and the need to contend with outside authority. Money can feel torn between conforming to the rules or fulfilling his obligations, and breaking free of them. His wilder side will now be described.

Impulsive, restless and spontaneous, his life is apt to be somewhat unstable and full of sudden changes. Eddie Money is extremely independent and craves excitement, adventure, freedom and discovery. Money has a rebellious streak and he often feels he is unusual and different from society's mainstream. The unorthodox and the novel appeal to him.

Eddie Money is a restless spirit, a bit self-willed, and he has a tendency to overstrain his nervous system. He is easily aroused and quick to explode when things do not meet his expectations. He is highly individualistic, resourceful and determined.

Appearing successful and attractive to the public is important to him. Eddie Money probably enjoys wearing stylish clothes and modern jewelry. He tends to seek admiration from others and social acceptance is necessary to Eddie's well-being.
