He is a person who thrives on challenge, and he often feels that he must battle his way through life, relying on no one and nothing but his own strength, intelligence and courage. Chico Marx believes in being totally honest, true to himself and his own vision and convictions, even if it means standing alone. Honesty, integrity, personal honor and authenticity are Marx's gods, and he has no sympathy for weakness of character in others.

Chico Marx tends to see things from his perspective only and to be rather subjective. He also enjoys talking and expressing his views but does not always listen as well. Chico Marx has a clear mind, a love of learning and new experiences, and he needs constant mental stimulation and activity.

Marx occasionally gamble, splurge, or overextend himself in ways that may be quite at odds with his usual way of doing things. Exaggerating his accomplishments or spending too much in order to impress others and build up his own self-esteem can be a problem. However, Chico Marx also has faith and an optimistic side, which enable him to recover from the negative consequences of his excesses, and to learn from them.

Chico Marx undergoes deep, transformative changes in his life with relative ease and a minimum of conscious resistance. Because he does not avoid the depths, Marx has access to a lot of personal power and strength. Without realizing it or seeking it, Chico is apt to have quite a potent effect on the people he comes into contact with, even superficially.
