Although Angus Young appears initially to be the soul of tact and diplomacy (as described on the previous page) he is not as gentle and peace-loving as he seems. Although Angus Young prefers harmony, he is willing to fight or to aggressively pursue his own interest if need be. People who come to know Angus more than just superficially realize there's much more to him than his surface charm.

He may be at odds with himself at times because he has both a strong urge for togetherness and a strong independent "free-and-on-my-own" impulse also.

He is a person who thrives on challenge, and he often feels that he must battle your way through life, depending upon no one and nothing but his own strength, intelligence, and courage. Angus Young believes in being totally honest, true to oneself and one's own vision and convictions, even if that means standing alone. Critical analysis and attention to minute detail are intrinsic in either process. The urge to bring about a state of wholeness or optimal functioning is a strong motivation of Angus Young's, and he is quite a perfectionist!

Young can easily become overly identified or involved with the function he performs, with his work, or with his own health and "growth process".
