Sade has frequent emotional outbursts due to her fiery temper and emotional impulsiveness. Sade Adu expresses herself very directly and honestly and no one has to guess what her true feelings are. However, Sade dislikes showing any personal weakness or her need for support, comfort and nurturing. She is often impatient with herself and others. Sade abhors emotional dependency and dislikes "complainers".

Sade inspires others to take positive action in their lives through her own enthusiasm and eagerness to meet life's challenges, and she is attracted to people who are adventurous, courageous and independent. Sade is rather bossy but does not like to be with people that she can boss around too much. She enjoys a good fight sometimes. Sade is not a traditionalist where love and relationships are concerned, and she often feels that formal commitments and conventional relationships are too binding and restricting. Even if Sade professes to want something steady and solid, she is very reluctant to give up her freedom and autonomy for its sake. Sade has a very romantic, idealistic vision of love relationships and may be disillusioned to discover that no real, flesh-and-blood human being ever quite lives up to her dream image of the "perfect love". Though Sade frequently fantasizes about love and romance - she may avoid becoming intimately involved with anyone or making definite commitments. When it comes to love, Sade Adu can be evasive and dishonest with herself and others. Some of Sade Adu's love yearnings may be expressed through art, music or an involvement with mysticism.
